Daltrey, like my old man. who was born in '39, buy into the idea of an idyllic period during the late 50's and '60's when Britain was the centre of the world and a real economic powerhouse. Unfortunately, they also believe that it was 'stolen' from them by immigration and then membership of the EC/EEC/EU.

The truth is that the UK chucked its future away without any external assistance and Brexit will do nothing to address the problem that we don't make anything that creates wealth anymore. We just service existing wealth, despite being a nation with immense talent and ingenuity. That's the issue, no matter who we trade with and under what terms.

I think Bale receives £30/35m per year - so more per year. However I doubt he'll be getting that after his next contract is up next year.
