It's a sad state of affairs when there's a fair few Sunderland fans who wouldn't be arsed if this fell through just so they could have a go at people who have had some inside info on it. It's pretty embarrassing tbh

As far as I understand it, it's old news and is sorted. Everything going at the club as if the takoever has already happened.

    Wouldn't worry.

Nixon has said it’s not an issue and the takeover won’t fall through. Yet the likes of ALS and sharing half a story causing a panic

Must be. I cant imagine any decent lawyers would let it get so far only for someone to say oops we missed this requirement.

If this leads to Donald and co selling up 100% then I'm all for it, but it seems strange that the result of the takeover being denied would be that it'd leave the very people being questioned with 100% control. Might explain why the mid-January target has been missed.

The amount of propaganda on Twitter that people concoct in their heads is unbelievable. We’re skint, this is Satoris mate bailing us out. Why would the structure of the club change ? Why would they sack their mates ? I bet most of them supported Donald Trump.

It's nothing more than a minor admin issue is what I've been told from someone who would definitely know. Louis-Dreyfus was cleared personally weeks ago.

The EFL rules have been tweeked after the problems with clubs like Charlton, Wigan, Bury, Blackpool, etc. It's basically an arse covering clause for the EFL.

The new regulation is what Donald had already assumed was automatically agreed. It only needs a slight adjustment to the already agreed 'contract' which Donald will happily accept but wouldn't be in a position to reject if he wasn't happy.

It's an absolute given that hanging onto shares, for future profits, would entail guarantees of funding.

Donald is well aware of that and has been all through this process.

That is what I've been told, from someone who isn't a stranger to these deals, so take it or leave it ladies and gentlemen.

The 2 year thing seems very specific

Is there a clause in the takeover where Donald n co have to sell their shares two years from now?

The EFL would hate to approve KLD and him get bored 6 months later and walk away like what happened at wigan so are making sure the rest have money just incase. Nixon himself has said it’s just extra paperwork to sort.

We’d floated on the stock exchange as a plc opposed to a limited company as we are now. Completely different situations

I doubt it, although I'll be amazed if Donald is still here in two years. I do wonder when the trust fund matures though, he's 23 now and I'm sure someone (maybe GOM) mentioned that a lot of these funds mature at 25. I strongly suspect this is something KLD or his people have been pushing for. Donald wants to keep some shares so his initial business plan will be based around Donald paying his share. If I was KLD and I didn't trust Donald, I'd want some form of confirmation that this funding would be forthcoming. Its not a question of whether he has the funds, because presumably he's about to get a canny wedge from KLD for his shares, it's a question of making sure he's committed to putting some of it into the club if he wants the pay out later
