So many rules have changed in football I have struggled to keep up but what I want to know is does the rule that whoever kicks the ball over the neighbour's fence has to go and get it still apply?
Yep. And remember, it's 2 points for a volley, 3 for a header, and 5 for an overhead. Keeper gets a point for a catch or a save.
Actually, as evidenced by Marine, they put a large house number on the back of each garden fence so you know which house to go to and a Manager has to do it.it was Jurgen Klopp for the Marine game, I saw him leaning against a tree so he didn’t have to run all the way round the pitch.
If Bedders isn’t available, this will be very tough. Wilson or Carroll against a rookie CB and Saint Maximum against Ramsey.... I don’t fancy that. If Bedders is available, then I’ll be a little more confident, but still not convinced. No more open honesty. I did that to my mate about two hours before kick off on Tuesday and said 5, followed by me saying 10 after 76 seconds. So... come on authorities, do the right thing with that red card.
I never bother with blue ink, I thought by now most of you get me. Although a gentle kick up the arse may be what he needs
Nah i was genuinely kidding. My mama always beat expectation out of me as a young boy. All is was left with was hope, at No.7 kept chipping away at that. Mike Dean and Lee Mason now just sold what was left of my soul to the demons and ogres that reside below. Other than that pal, I’m al good So, on to the game - what’s your gut feel. I think 3-1.
Interested to see Minanmino, never really seen him play. I’m guessing a good chance of a starting berth.
Your first two paragraphs echo my thoughts. Add Almiron into the mix as well, with Shelvey pulling the strings from midfield It’s one thing to be drubbed by Utd, but to suffer a second heavy defeat against Newcastle would be soul destroying.
Not much in it, but still favourites https://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/premier-league/newcastle-v-southampton/winner
We're due a 9.0 aren't we? Why all the worries.........Oh strewth now I've done it got it the wrong way round ok back to the book. CYS
If Bednareks red card is rescinded (as it should be) then I'll be much more confident we can come away with something. But if we have to play a back four of Bertrand, Stephens, Tchaptchet and Ramsay with no defensive midfield protection in front of them then I really fear the worst. Might be a game where we have to take a 'we'll score more goals than you' approach which may seem foolish given our lack of goals but at least our attacking players are mostly available (minus Walcott and Tella). I'm really hopeful (or desperate) that Minamino can slot right and hit the ground running and really help to make us a more potent attacking threat once more.
That's the word, response. It's not what happens to you that does for long term damage, it's how you respond in adversity. As Ralph said, 'we stood up before, we'll do it again'
