Posted on the MUFC thread but guess it should sit here too. Martin Semmens has tweeted on his dormant Twitter account for the first time since early 2018...
Harrison Reed has started 14 games for Fulham this season. He might not be Paul Scholes, but bloody hell it would be nice to have him around. Also, how can we loan out Valery, Vokins, Slattery, Sims, and Long, and complain about having to put an extra goalkeeper on the bench? How much money do we actually save from sending a youth player out on loan for a few months? Love Ralph and all that, but it is f*cking confusing to loan out these players, and then moan about having a thin squad. I would rather Sims over Djenepo on recent performances, all day long.
Josh Sims is not and has never been good enough, or close to good enough. He's coming into his mid-20s and playing for Doncaster. Noted on Reed but without shifting him and his salary we probably don't have one of the other players we've picked up this season. We live incredibly hand-to-mouth and the sooner this owner moves on, the better.
And what has Djenepo done this season? He's a liability. Even after W*nkevitz got sent off, Djenepo was flying in with two footed tackles.
Feck off!! (not you 76) ... my joy lasted 4 minutes!!!!!!!!!!! now at least I know how the wife feels
Two steps forward, one step back. Even if Vester, KWP and Romeu don't make it back for this game. That they are close feels like a big boost. But now losing Armstrong too is a bitter pill to swallow. Every. Fricking. Game. We pick up another injury. It's ridiculous.
This made me think... imagine if Ralph had instagram or twitter - would be class. Mourinho on instagram is class
Bit of a coincidence that both our squad and Liverpool's are suffering so many injuries, and that both clubs' managers have the same high-energy demands. Our players seem to be made of bloody glass right now. What are they doing to them at Staplewood exactly? Running them into the ground?
He looked pretty good when he came in for Fulham against West Brom the other day. Made an immediate impact and got an assist for the equaliser. That said, it probably was time for him to move on. Edit; ignore the above. Was talking about Harry Reed, not Simms.
Agreed unless KWP is not fit and then you may have to put Stephens at right back and play Vestergaard against Carroll.
He really will have to do something spectacular for another club to try and poach him now. Imagine the reaction of Everton/Spurs fans if they were going to hire the guy that lost 9-0 twice in two years! We might actually be stuck with him!
I can only speak for myself, but i feel completely different now from the last 9-0. Last time I was dejected, worried, angry etc etc. This time, mainly after listening to Ralph express his gratitude for the fans support and the fact he has has never been more committed - I weirdly feel really positive ahead of this Newcastle match. I am absolutely buzzing for saturday 3pm now - already planned my day around it, picking up the beer takeaway at 1pm and steak dinner planned for 6pm. Now I know this will all change should we find ourselves 2 down after 30 minutes, but with Ralph at the club I am genuinely looking forward to watching us play every game - even after losing 9-0 and even in the middle of a pandemic... and that is what football is all about.
I agree. It just is completely different in every way apart from the scoreline. Problem is I am probably feeling too positive about Newcastle considering we still have serious issues with injuries. However even if we can't turn things around in this game. I am confident that we will turn things around and that in itself makes it very different from the Leicester game.
