During the FPP saga I was getting almost real time info which, for a lifelong supporter, was incredible. At one point I was asked my opinion on how I thought supporters would react to a badge change, stadium naming, etc. It was like living a dream and then it all crashed. This time I've just had a few bits of info but enough to feel involved like the date of the KLD Christmas statement. But I've had private messages, from a few lads, who've been 90% correct ... that's a very decent hit rate tbh and they deserve 'a moment' on here. I just hope they're an hour in front of the club statement or the yellow banner. To answer @John Wick ... ... yes mate, from my experience, which seems decades ago, there's a short period where it goes deathly quiet then flurry of intense messaging then, all of a sudden, it's on the yellow banner.
Going back to my employment (accountant) days, I was involved in quite a few takeovers/mergers there are invariably last minutes panics and statements, declaration etc to be produced and finalised, dotting the I and crossing t etc Of course it could all go belly-up, but in most likelihood not. I reckon final matters are being concluded..when any announcement will be made i do not have a scoobie.
He could say that he’s heard from Prehab26 that the takeover is now complete, then everyone’s a winner.
Would like it to be you mate, you have been putting good info on these boards for a long time now, tickets for the lads when they have been stuck and helped a lot out.. Always spot on..
Very kind mate, to be fair my info has been limited this time but I've posted what I've been told to keep people going. We're all in this together, just hope this is all we hope, and deserve, it to be.
How I heard it was that they can now afford higher transfer fees, he mentioned 2 million as an example but fees such as that command higher wages and they can't do it with the wage cap so have to rely on the pull of the club, the stadium and AOL to draw in the signings
Players who'll stay in their comfort zone, geographically or whatever, are just the kind we don't need. If they'll go from Wycombe to Wimbledon because it's close to London for the missus or within an hour of the airports then fair enough. We need ambitious players who'll come for the potential, the 'vision' and the desire to put themselves under the pressure of a big support at a big club.
BREAKING NEWS!!!! It's Done! The takeover has just had the official nod! Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney's takeover of Wrexham FC has been approved by the Financial Conduct Authority. Now that big one is off the table perhaps we will get Sunderland's done and dusted!
Your post prompted me to take a quick look ... ... the same old 'Short/Donald takeover' row still raging, bitter, personal and seemingly endless "Burning for 50 years!" please log in to view this image
Not as such...but it may even have been included pitch covers... may well be revealed when KLD takes over I guess.
16th November Wrexham fans voted in favour of their proposed takeover, two months later the contracts were exchanged and today it was approved by the FCA. Ours has taken 3 times longer to complete, bigger club granted but surely the process is the same. The FCA approved the deal, I wonder if ours needs to passed by them or is it because Wrexham are not in the EFL?
I presume that he sold stuff to try and get his purchase cash back, but I really have no idea what. It only came to light when I asked about why our pitch was bad, and the reply was that Donald sold stuff off eg covers. I would have thought not much value there though.
Awful if true, I know Donald sold insurance cover, but selling the ****ing pitch covers is ridiculous penny pinching. Very sad times for our magnificent club.
We had those high powered lights to help the grass grow during winter. Probably sold those off. Nothing to do with the pitch but didn't they sell the cryo chamber?
Totally on board with that comment but had an urge to post either the 'Chemical ali' or 'frank drebin, police squad' memes
