It must be a glare he has then.... because with hands playing with his gonads and no voice, his 'level of animation' is non existent... and in this case he's not a poor coach..... he's rank..
I mentioned that earlier .. Hasselbank all match was directing his players .. getting them up .. giving out instructions .. while daft lad stood shaking his head at Byrne !
He may be a poor coach, but that's not because he's quiet.... Maybe it's because he's not as technical as we need, maybe it's because he's not as brave... But how loud he shouts is irrelevant. Shouldn't have to shout instructions to a footballer... That's a sign of a poor coach in my experience.
I agree that it's possible to be a quiet coach on the sidelines and be successful - Carlo Ancelotti always looks pretty calm about things. But it does worry me that GM seems to save his animation just remonstrating with the referee. Often looks like he is giving them a mouthful, and sort of feels consistent with his 'anyone 's fault but mine' demeanour.
Does that not come from respect.. ie, been there, done it.... Ancelotti has players with a high degree of ability, gained at the top level. If they haven't been coached by him, the chances are they will have been coached by high quality coaches in the past. When its going pear shaped and with a team of essentially youngsters, with a lower skill set, the manager has to be seen to be encouraging at least. I remember saying against Leeds before the penalty shoot out, he didnt even involve himself then, it was his sidekick doing the directing.
I've been talking to someone this morning re this season and they made a point that i kind of agree with... They thought in their eyes this season was very much like the season in the champ which we struggled and barely made it up despite having far and away the best squad in the league ( which we do again this season ) but the fact we struggled was because Bruce didn't/couldnt get the best out the players at his disposal ( which grant can't / isn't either ) plus the very inflexible way both Bruce and grant set us up ( neither would ever seen to have a plan b and stuck to their favoured formation ) which makes it easier for teams to set up against us due to how easy scouts can profile us due to very little change I'd not really compared the 2, but if you take the emotion out and look at it, they are quite similar situations from very different managers. Doesn't help us 1 bit but it was just an interesting obeservation and conversation with somebody who watches a lot of our games in his profession but isn't a fan or attached to the club at all.
Similar tactic to myself. At full-time I went for a ****, then baked a Pavlova and am currently 356 miles away from Cairo on a Honda C50. **** McCunt.
Kinnel. I'm gonna assume that your **** and pavlova bake (hope you washed your hands in-between) took about an hour and that you set off from Hull about 6 o'clock last night. Which means that you've averaged a ton thirty to get within spitting distance of Cairo. That's some going on a C50. I reckon you're having a laugh. It's a C90 isn't it? Or at the very least a re-bored C70 with the legshields cut off.
They weren't comparing the 2 teams. Just the similarities in the situations, the team Bruce had was obviously head and shoulders above what we have now, but they both where/are the strongest squads in their respective leagues at the time and both managers where stubborn in the way they set the team up
Bruce was far from stubborn We set up 3-5-2 or 3-5-1-1 And 4-4-1-1 Some of the players didn’t get their arse in gear but did by the end
And by the end of the season some of these might...who knows and we all hope they do. Bruce was pretty stubborn, how many times when we went 1-0 did he insist on the sit back and defend the lead as apposed to go kill the game off. Anyway it was just an observation from a guy who's Job it is to scout the Yorkshire teams/players for one of the London teams. That's how he is seeing us this season and compared it to that season with Bruce in the championship. Side note...he said his favourite time to watch us in recent years was under slutsky
It’s not stubborn is it. It’s a pity Terry hasn’t learned that skill and your last line pretty much says your scouts an idiot
