Unlike the last time we got to the Quarters we've got a genuine shot of winning the Cup. Under Hughes we got really lucky with Wigan knocking out Man City.
They were until the 1970s. Besides which, Hampshire CC played there so there is an element of Hampshireness about them.
In all seriousness, you can't take a 9-0 drubbing, even in freak circumstances, without confidence taking a serious knock. We've done incredibly well to get our season back on track so quickly. If ever there was a "must win" to rescue season, tonight was it imo.
They are weaker than the last time we played them though, but not taking anything for granted this is a great chance for Wembley.
Super Fraser, 3 fa cup games, 3 clean sheets (+Liverpool) Aren't we the only club to get to the league cup final without conceding along the way. Can we do it in the fa cup too? COYR
We are seriously unbalanced when either KWP or Bertie don't play, they are crucial to Ralph's system, we should have adequate back ups for them by now, that is my only gripe with the club right now.
And they will be chasing promotion. That will be more important to them. Whereas the Cup has to be our priority now.
Well this evening really couldn't have gone any better. Great chance of making the SFs. Armstrong's goal meant that he just pipped Salisu to my MOTM. And after my criticism of him at the weekend, how refreshing to see Redmond running - with and without the ball. His best performance for a very long time.
