AHHHH loads of people not the team or people that matter [ make the decisions] And I stand by DH getting the job as I said at the time continuity like Barnsley … it has been a sh*** season no stability now starting again with new players coming back in trying to gel ...that's football …. 3-5-2 is shi**** said so for a long time
How can it be a hasty decision if it took a couple of months? , clueless I agree , but hardly hasty, as for sacking LJ, absolutely the correct decision
I am 100% with you, giving Holden the job was quite frankly suicidal, continuity my arse, that is exactly what we got is continuity of 3 previous years of dross and because of lack of investment and another pathetic January window, where the useless arse wipes couldn't even bring in a fecking left back, it's now worse than the previous 3 years, Holden should have gone with LJ, we needed a new broom not continuity.
Forest with that **** Hughton are 6 points behind us and they were a basket case when he took over, yes they have taken a while to get going, but picking their battles like a 0-0 draw today against Bournemouth.
I’m saying it was hasty to rid LJ, to then take a couple of months to appoint a coach with no credentials or renowned to be better than what we had.what was the point and what did it achieve?
Lansdown must at last realise the previous 4 years of ridiculous wheeling and dealing has resulted with a squad full of players who are poor. A new manager might get a dead cat bounce but within half a dozen games normal service will resume. Barring Kalas and Bentley, we don't have players up to Championship standard. Ashton has to be held accountable.
Hasty? that's a strange thing to say. Surely once the decision has been made, the incumbent is history and then you select your next ex manager. Surely you have worked it out already, what exactly the mindset was when they sacked LJ? Give it to Holden until the end of the season, bullshit the fans into thinking that they are going to bring in a manager with a pedigree, carry on with lies and bullshit for 10 weeks and then announce the cheap option that they were always going to announce anyway and what was the 10 week deception all about?, just in case a miracle happened and grounds were reopened this season, I mean **** the fans, squeeze as much season ticket money as possible.
It's how the Bristol Post Gregor MacGregor rated them 15:54Gregor MacGregor Half-time ratings Bentley - 6 Vyner - 4 Kalas - 5 Moore - 3 Hunt - 4 Lansbury - 3 Massengo - 5 Paterson - 3 Towler - 3 Semenyo - 4 Diedhiou - 5
I really wanted Delano to do well and move us on to the next stage of progress.. To be honest, with the majority of games I’ve watched this season, this kind of result has been coming. Deano seems out of his depth and I don’t believe the squad he inherited is an excuse
Ok I wasn’t contradicting you but I think we should have KEPT LJ until a BETTER replacement had been lined up.
This is the expected result of Lansdown hiring DH and the cheap easy option and it has come back to bite him in the arse. The ability to get things right doesn't exist with Bristol City and firing DH will only produce the usual apathy in the search for a new cheap mug to do SL and MA's individual dirty work. This for me is the most shameful situation under Lansdown's ownership to date and I am sure he has no idea what to do next, but then again at least he has Ashton to do the business as he has done nothing wrong. Get rid of your entire coaching staff and get Ashton to lead the way out the door. Next joker please.
