I’m happy with that selection. I wonder if Che is suffering either a niggle, or a little burn out. Good management of him to give him a rest and let him catch his breath. It’s about the squad. I’d love JWP to have a rest, but I think the new shister Prowsie might pin Ralph up against the wall if that was suggests. COYR
I like that team. I also like that bench. Feels like we're coming back to what we should be. We might not win today, but I'm confident should this lot stay pretty much fit from now on.
Alex will be aware that Fraser is pushing to be first choice. It's good to have that competition as Diallo has shown with Romeu. I do expect Alex to up his game another gear like Romeu did.
Not sure about playing Redders instead of Adams, certainly no more goal, not as good on hold up play and can’t cross or pass as well as Adams so a bit of a strange one for me but hey what do I know
I was just making the point that you made it sound like he’s been playing badly and needed to pull his finger out. Any player needs to stay on top of their game and it is good there is genuine competition. Fraser deserves a chance because he’s done well, it I also think it would be very tough to drop a keeper after one clear error. (Ralph having decided he wasn’t at fault for any of the other 11 goals). Great management again, in my view* * not me showing a preference to either keeper
Think more than just team selection though. Che has run his nuts off for 6 months. Could just be giving him a rest. Fine by me.
Agreed, but as FLT has written, he has given everything he had got since the season started. A recharge and a late introduction into the game may be just what he needs to get on the scoresheet.
At least we have someone on the bench who can improve/effect the game for a change when they come on in the 89 minute! LOL
There's a decent player in there somewhere, the surprise inclusion, as has been mentioned might just set the right gears in motion. Let's hope so. Nice to see the weather helping us with the wet stuff, they'll need to water the pitch too then!!
Yep. And unless he produces absolutely ridiculous figures for us (unlikely), I can't see him having a future at Liverpool. He'll be 27 next season, so he's no baby. Hence if he can bring the goods to the table for us, there could be a longer term future for him here.
