Steady decline for 12 months? We were unstoppable until the season was stopped 2/3rds in. We're never the same after that, and it was expected, the title was over by then anyway It was unreasonable to expect that level of the past 2 years would continue, only a moron would think otherwise. Impossible in the modern game to sustain that level and even then you need luck to have to seasons like that also. The only decline that has occurred has been in the last 5 or 6 games which is not 12 months Still a clown, but I see your games in hand and everton are looking decent at the mo so you have the neck to come on here posing like you know ****
Only the thing is, if you had even the vaguest clue about what you’re talking about and you’d have possibly bothered yourself to do the maths to check the veracity of my claim. Then you’d have seen that from late Feb (pre lockdown) to now i.e. nearly 12 months Liverpool’s results across all competitions, have been on the wane, it’s a statistical fact. But yet here’s you, flapping your gums and chatting your usual brand of clueless bubbles.
Prior to the break, 36 games 35 wins 1 draw After the restart in 2019/20 we lost 2 games, the same amount as we lost in the previous 67 PL games That is an anomaly. Coming down from that level is not a decline in form, that form is unsustainable and requires luck at the right time (except purely numerically it is a decline) A team not winning 35 out of 36 is not a team in decline. December 27th 2020 West Brom, 1 1, that is when it started. It's Feb, counting is not your strong point Also, VVD decline? 2 years of nearly no mistakes, again amazing anomaly, he made a couple end of last season after the break, and was playing well until your keeper crocked him Talking through your malty crack mate
From the 18th Feb to the start of lockdown you lost 4 games out of 5, so all you’ve done there is show your complete lack of knowledge.
Lol I daren't read the comments in this thread. All I will say is keep getting behind Klopp and the players as they need us more than ever. Title was long gone a while ago but hopefully we can pick it up soon. Despite being actually atrocious for the past month, we're still only 6 points behind 2nd lol. Man City are the only team that have over 2ppg this season. Get Fab, Jota and Naby in the team and we get top 4
Shame there are no crowds atm, Klopp and the players really could do with the vocal support right now.
We’ve def been impacted by lack of fans. It makes me laugh when people say well all teams have to play with no fans... but then those same people saying how the Anfield crowd are like a 12th man etc. Not all crowds and grounds have same impact. Some teams could see play better with no crowds as there was less pressure, less people to get on their backs if a mistake was made etc. You look at our high tempo style and It’s definite boosted having fans behind you, cheering you on when pushing for goals etc. Only a fool would say that hasn’t affected things. look at city on other hand and their patient play. How many times in past have you seen the crowd sitting in silence as they pass it around, city don’t care or need that push from their fans and it’s not the only reason they’re storming the league, but they def haven’t been as disadvantaged as others. Palace are another team, used to have brilliant home record, horrible place to go with brilliant non stop singing and atmosphere. Now a days, can barely buy a draw at home let alone a win.
I have to agree. 100% have been affected. When 2000 got in v wolves you could see the energy injected. It was brilliant form the crowd and team. Fulham got a crowd in and were hugely impressive against us and hurt us. I think after that the west brom game the crowd that got in was a "bit ****" TBH. I do think its one element but imo the front 3 might have benefitted more than anyone. the issues at the back are STARK so a crowd won't have fixed it.
