sounds like their parents need lining up against a wall and shooting or having their reproductive organs cut out to prevent any more less than perfect offspring entering this world.

luckily my 2 kids have avoided my ailments. these immune system disorders can miss a generation but the grandkids seem ok so far.
i didnt get psoriasis till i was a young man. i dread to think how many fights i would have had at school etc getting ribbed about it.
the best name i was ever called was scabatha. i developed a sense of humour about it and joined in the p!ss taking and i sometimes forget where the line should be drawn when ribbing other folk. todays pc world is no place for dinosaurs like me.

i feel for your son but at least now he can see light at the end of the tunnel. gone are the days of walking round smelling like a freshly creosoted fence.
id love to say i didnt let my scabbiness ruin my life but its almost impossible walking round resembling a piper alpha burns victim or a leper without a bell and not notice the staring.
i went from 50% coverage to 95% clear in the space of 3 months. oh how i wish they'd have had this stuff 40 years ago. all that tash that made their excuses and left on feeling/seeing my body.

psoriasis is a skin disease but for me its biggest damage happens in your head. hope your lad can keep his chin up and your daughter gets on with the new drug.

"walking round smelling like a freshly creosoted fence'" :cheesy:
Puva, Methotrexate and Ciclosporin all worked for a while for me but then stopped. Stelara works, and I've been totally psoriasis free for four years now. I too didn't get it until I was younger (16) , but was lucky it was never on my hands or face so many people didn't even know I had it.

I had a voicemail from my GP earlier. Asked me to call back about arranging a vaccine. I am not in any way vulnerable. I can only assume it's because I have an autism diagnosis. I'm a perfectly healthy person, mid thirties, happy to social distance forever (social anxiety). I don't know what to do, I'd feel bad taking it in front of someone more at risk. My wife is asthmatic and every cold she gets goes to her chest and has required the hospital more than once in the past, yet it looks like she won't be in any of the priority groups ('severe' asthma is listed but I don't think she fits that criteria).

So in a way I feel like I don't deserve it but if I have it and my wife doesn't at least I'll be able to look after her better if it gets to us.

    Conflicted.

You've answered your own question, mate - no conflict, get it, look after your wife.

Get the vaccine. It’s not up to you to decide the list of priorities, just go with it.

Talk to your GP. He or she should be able to explain why you've been offered it.

However, if there's a dose with your name on it, take it.

Don't feel guilty. The admin time alone of cancelling your appointment, rescheduling it, then contacting someone else, making their appointment etc would be more work than you just turning up and getting your vaccine done.

Go for it and take your wife with you, you might both get it done.

Like a holiday which is advertised as costing from £499 which ends up costing you well over a grand 'cos you were naive enough to go when it was actually hot enough, not in the middle of winter, bairns will start to return from 8th March so Boris and the Wrecking Crew can say they've kept a promise and hit a target.

Won't all be back this side of full vaccination of the priority groups however.

apologies for hijack admins. - this is my last post on this honest. any more ill do pm.

two wrights was your puva at princes royal? i did that the year city went away to sheff wed and took 7k. 2004?
i managed 17 minutes in the stand up uvb cubicle despite having sensitive skin, think it was a record. sadly i had it all over my hands and buying stuff at shops you could see the cashier think twice about handing me change.

when you say free you mean totally free? if so i'm happy for you. i wouldnt wish P on my enemies/wife. but mine refuses to go in my ear canals, cleft of buttocks (ive got photos if you want) scalp and groins.
as you get older the psoriatic arthritis might come into play and stelara sadly didnt do it for me and ive swapped to cosentyx with decent results.

i see dr britton at spire and he is great. (i dont pay, im a pauper and its through the nhs)

All the schools are open in France. What's the problem?

    I dunno.

The school run clashing with Marks and Sparks exports to the Paris branch perhaps?

Yep, Princess Royal for my Puva. Totally 100% clear and have been for the last four years. I'll pass on the photos thanks!

Our son had PUVA there about 20 years ago plus a couple of longish stays for topical treatment. He was covered in sores from his early teens and told his school mates he'd been stung by killer bees when they saw his lesions. They were generally pretty good with him though and he's never really let it get him down too much. He now gets a monthly infusion at HRI and is in pretty good nick.
