So, Portsmouth lose three points to a relegation team.

Ipswich lose two points at home to a relegation team.

We just need to keep our nerve and fight til the end.

PPG analysis is meaningless otherwise Doncaster wouldn't have just lost two games on the bounce.

Hull were top two, in a promotion spot but have fallen apart and won one game in the last five.

Less than a month ago Portsmouth were 8 points ahead of us, that's down to four points ....

... things change very quickly in this division.

Mathmatical probability says we are a million miles from 2nd place this season in my opinion.

After tomorrow we don't play any in-form teams until Lincoln on March 20th

Gotta make the most of the eight matches we have in that time - Crazy there are so many games, a big squad we can rotate will be vital.

The second half of a L1 season is never like the first half ...

... this isn't anywhere near as predictable as the PL.

Wycombe proved, last season, that anything is possible.

Yeah, but Wycombe's form after Christmas was poor, the PPG basically rewarded them for half a season of good form at the start. I genuinely think if the season hadn't been curtailed they'd have finished mid table, around 10th or 12th. But as you say, it's unpredictable and can change in a few matches.

One thing that should help us though is squad sizes. The teams with games in hand might struggle to cope with basically playing twice per week for the rest of the season, I've always thought that the Checkatrade Cup run and the rescheduled games contributed to our poor end on the 2019 season. Do Accrington, Doncaster, Lincoln and so on have strong enough squads to cope with either a fixture backlog or a load of games one after another?

Let's hope we've had our bad run out of the way under Parkinson and we hit on a good run of consistency.

If we can just go on a good run we should climb up as the only thing predictable about this league is it's unpredictability.

Doncaster play Accrington tonight i would like both to lose... apparently that is not possible.. so a draw best for us?

Atm it looks as if the top 5 are pulling away from the rest. We need them to lose any game with the bottom half of the table.

We are in a scramble for the 6th spot right now. We need Doncaster and Accrington to lose their games in hand.

Of course we need to go on a winning streak...

In the midst of this, tonight, we have a semi-final for the tinpot Cup. Nothing wrong in winning this game and going to Wembley for a meaningless trophy is there. I bloody well hope not! Of course winning is a habit, momentum and confidence etc.

To be honest I'm ambivalent about this result. So long as we can keep winning, others are starting to stumble a bit so we can keep in contention. It's starting to close up a lot at the top and I think some teams will bottle it, others won't have the squad strength. So long as we keep it together there's a few we can catch and pick off

It'll get really messy and the team who hold it's nerve will win out.

We’ve got the best squad we’ve had all season.

Gooch, wright, O’Nien, McGeady all back fit makes a massive difference.

If we keep this squad fit, I expect us to go up, either via playoffs or automatics.

Yeah, we were supposed to play them on December 28th, but it was postponed due to the covid outbreak.

We shouldn't fear any team in this league tbh.

The team seemed to have turned a corner last night, the players looked together and determined ...

... it's been a long time since I've thought that.

Probably the only trip to Wembley that most of them will get?
