Bit late to the party here....
I made a couple of posts on this thread at around 2.30pm, one commenting on Blondie's fine breasts, and another saying Ha'Way the announcement after the news that the FPP loan had been settled.
I finished work at 2.50pm, and have spent most of the night running my daughter from job to job (she's a home carer).
So, after following this thread for bloody months....i missed the announcement.
All caught up news wise, but sadly still behind cans wise....im working on it!!.
Been a great thread this, and I've seen a few comments about closing it now its been announced.
Close it? Nah, its only just starting.....

Does that to me as well, does my head in. Of course I then just copy the link, open an incognito browser window and it thinks it's my first article of the week and let's me read it, so there's always that work around.

I only just realised, tonight, that Phillips isn't an intelligent man.

I'd been blinded by my admiration for him as a football player ...

... but the man isn't the player and the player isn't the man.

After tonight I'd never want him anywhere near the club ever again.

He said tonight, 'I don't speak for the supporters'.

    Yes mate, you don't.

Was very strange. Especially considering he's wanted the job twice when Donald has been here and he hasn't been considered, you'd think that would make him more positive about the takeover if anything!

And there blatantly isn't nothing KLD can do. He can get the right people in key positions and get them setting the ground work for a key summer where we can really reshape the squad regardless of division. Not sure if it's true about looking into multi angle streams and the likes but small improvements that can be made now, and upkeep of the ground when there aren't fans there, are also sensible things to do. He can set the standards and that could have an instant impact. He can't buy us a whole new squad now but that doesn't mean he can't take important steps towards changing the whole ethos of the place and getting us to function like a professional outfit.

You could see the desperation in Jim's eyes after he gave it the big build up ...

... then Phillips got his cock out and pissed on White's basket of kittens.

Phillips left Sunderland 'for greater things' and f****d it all up.

He has no real affiliation with the club and is turning into our Mick Quinn.

Phillips is a bit of a dour bloke when he's talking anyway, been to a talk in with him, not a great speaker, world class goalscorer at his peak mind. Met him a few times outside of that, ran into him in the town after a few matches he's done for Sky and he's always been spot on, but then again he probably knows what he's in for going out in Sunderland.

Love the bloke for what he done here, never want him to be manager just because he doesn't seem the type to me, also not sure he's the man to go to for pumping up a takeover.

Just caught up on RTG, I don’t get the stick madbob gets. Granted the bloke can be cryptic at times but it seems fairly obvious he gets info, @Prehab26 has said he does. Just seems like people constantly want to wind each other up over there.

its become a popular pastime this 'Madbob baiting' over there, he clearly knows some football people, and someone within the club. I think he gets reliable info, he just can't condense it into a legible form to please his audience on RTG, so he ends up waffling and gets tripped up time & again by a posse of amateur sleuths who dissect his every post and throw it back in his face if it isn't 100% accurate. It's shameful really, he' s just basically passing on a bit of crack he's heard, much like you'd do with your mates down the pub ( remember them?) but the pack mentality of the keyboard ****ers has them holding him to account on every detail. he needs to tell more of them to **** off more often. I like the fella, he seems the type of lad i'd enjoy a pint with.

I’m nearly 70 I’ve been retired since 55 yet I wake up this time ish every morning and check out any news overnight about the lads
Why can’t sky get a reporter in Sunlun and talk to real fans about the positive feel of this takeover. instead they go to an ex superb player for us but who has since said very little to inspire me.
He is so dour and hasn’t a clue what is gannin on at our club.
It was a massive story yesterday and listening to SKP nearly took the smile off my face.
A great player for us but a yesteryear man. Never want to hear him talking about us again. Just like Marco and others

  16. Sadly,it's what RTG has become. It's infested with some thick as mince individuals who seem to delight in putting a negative spin on just about everything. Bob has been his own worst enemy at times mind, with his lack of clarity, but that's no excuse for the attitude he gets.
Even yesterday, amid the great news of KLD being confirmed, some of them were still looking for anything they could find to have a go,even one idiot questionning whether KLD spoke any English! It's pathetic and embarrassing. I hardly visit there now, much prefer it on here. I might allow myself the amusement of going on there once in a while to see how those who insisted for long enough there was no takeover, and denounced all who believed otherwise in often very abusive terms, are wriggling and squirming their way in trying to cover their tracks.

First day since Sept 2019 whenn I joined 606 I've woke up and not needed to trawl the web to see if it's gone thru. More importantly its the first day of hopefully a new era and better days ahead. I'm in.
