Credit where it is due, i have been vocal of late about Moussa - but what’s legend - MOTM, Salisu just behind him, but far better defensively from Moussa, and better going forward.
Excellent point to stop the rot. Djenepo easily MOTM for me despite immense performance from Salisu. When you think how many injuries we had, that's really impressive.
Excellent result, played that to a T. Great game plan, well executed and some good performances for some players who have previously struggled: Djenepo and Redmond particularly. Minamino looks a good loan signing, excellent finish. Salisu, Vestergaard and Bednarek all looked alive. Didn’t expect anything at all from that, we were unlucky to lose in the end if anything, bar one dodgy tackle that was 3 points.
Take that, it was so unexpected, took some guts to battle through and poor old Moussa is going to suffer for a few days.
I would say a steady, performance. We weren’t great, but we clearly went into that to keep our shape and dig in. We did that well. Something to build on
Very good point although a little frustrating that they didnt actually create anything and we still drew. Salisu looked fantastic and it will be interesting to see the battle between him and Bednerak. Djenepo fought hard today and that sort of attitude will go far, my MOTM. Oh and it might annoy some but Mason Mount was bloody brilliant - I know he is pompey but I look forward to watching him play in the Euros
Fair play Tom. We brought in all sorts of heavyweights to stop the rot, and in the end the ref did it for us. How ironic!
Great, great point. Salisu imperious, Vestergaard too. Djenepo must’ve farted in the tunnel or something because Chelsea took an offence to his existence. Hold up play could’ve been a lot better, but those three Chelsea CBs were so physical it was always gonna be hard.
