It's an interesting one but had Salisu been fit from the start of this season I wonder if Big Vester would've got the run in the team and had a chance to show the form that he has given that Bedders was clearly ahead of him and Jack and Jack started the season in the team.

I think we can now be very happy with last summer's transfer activity :)

Trust me mate, I don't enjoy moaning. I'd rather a full on everything's great love in because we're playing well!

Think there's more than two games we've not played well in tbf.

In that run of six, I only think we were poor in the United and Toon games.

We were never really in the game against Arsenal. And we stayed in the dressing room for the second half vs Wolves.

But against Villa and Leicester (and Wolves first half) we were good.

Fair. I'd probably say Arsenal too but not much in it. I misunderstood your original post though.

Without wanting to be obvious, that was like us versus us. Chelsea were VERY good in the press and had us under a heap of pressure. But then they weren’t able to find a way through to goal.

First half I thought we did a really good job of giving the ball away every time we got it and drawing them into our defensive trap. Like us they tired quickly in the second so the game evened out.

Thought Chelsea looked a different side, it was like they had two extra players at times and I was relieved with a point.

Ralph got it right though I would have played Adams ahead of redmond against those backs. We might have retained a bit more of the ball and the backs would have had to try a bit.

Lots of positives. Formation change, individual performances almost all good.. definitely moussas best game for me. Minamino is a great signing. And a point for us ending the run that shall not be mentioned.

Y’Know, the other thing that doesn’t get mentioned enough is the job Ralph’s team have done at an individual level. There’s hardly a player in the squad who hasn’t improved hugely under his tenure. Technically our players are a league above where they were 3 seasons ago. If I’m being picky he really needs to get stuck in to redmond and find something in him to exploit. Bertrand too would be the only other player that has plateaued but he’s always been good at being himself.

I thought Redmond had a good game today, he seemed to be everywhere on the pitch and his assist was fantastic. Maybe playing a bit deeper suits him better.

You mean playing a bit further forward? He's looked far better alongside Ings than he has as one of the 'wide' players imo.

Good that we changed shape 2nd half and improved. Normally the opposition does that to us

    Hope Moussa’s ok

    That was Salisu’s Maiden speech
    Very good

See I’m not sure about that. He’s great down the left when he links up with Ryan, but I think he gets nosebleed if he gets too high up the pitch. And his assist came from a one-two with Romeu deep on the right.

Beats the crap out of me, I just don’t know.

I was thinking exactly that re the us vs us thing. I also felt that his Chelsea looked like a Pochettino team, which is ironic seeing as MoPo has nicked his old job!

The only way the us vs us comparison falls short is we don't get penalties.
