It’s not even a contest between Quinn and Kev. Kev was a wonderful player for us but spat his dummy clean out last season here and never looked back. Quinn literally went and found the club a saviour when we were close to bankrupt, twice, and built a children’s ward with his testimonial to leave an ever lasting legacy in the city. That is an absolute legend. Phillips is just a ‘great former player’.
Donald isn’t even a director of the club is he? He’s just a minority shareholder. He resigned his directorship when he resigned as chairman.
My two pence is that I still think he's hedging his bets. Doesn't know whether to keep being a coach or try getting into punditry (sure I've seen him do it a few times). As such I think he's trying to come across "neutral" and being balanced. Probably hopes it sounds professional whereas for fans it sounds like a lack of passion. It certainly wasn't a good interview, could have sounded a lot more enthusiastic. Bit like the BBC football story, didn't even mention the wealth of kld and his family, just mentioned his age (this one https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/56114374) couldn't have made it sound less significant if they'd tried. Thankfully none of this will matter when we make our comeback and those who really matter, the fans , will love every second of it
Alishan ordered to be delivered (as we are both drinking) to celebrate this glorious week in the world of SAFC
I feel a real buzz for the first time in a long time tbh. All the right moves seem to be taking place. Just hope to god it works.
Same for me, Phillips was a great player apart from his last season, but in my eyes, Quinn is a club legend as a player and owner/Chairman
8 points from second and 9 from top. I remember the run we went on under Keane. We need something similar now. I have faith
Worse teams than us (I'm sure Shrewsbury for one) have gone on big runs. We're more than capable, especially with the size of squad. But let's be honest, even if its play offs, we should be better than any side that can't even be good enough to get top two in this league. I'm pissed, and overly optimistic because of a win against a **** side, but I think we're going up
That's canny. Big decision though. I like Sanderson and think he could be great in a three with Flanagan and Wright. Also think vokins, Hume and mcfadzean all probably suit wing back better than full back. Power and onien probably the same on the right. Trouble is , for all the good things about the formation, I'm not convinced in central midfield. Leadbitter is canny in a 3, not so sure in a 2. If we had a strong central midfield I'd say 343 all day long . As it is I'm not sure
