Thierry Henry about to be named as new Bournemouth manager. Hopefully he'll be satisfied with having his personal first goal against us, rather than his managerial first win...

That has disaster written all over it, should have gone with a proven Championship operator like Bilic, Wagner or if they wanted to be left field go for Cowley. Managers who get jobs on their reputations as ex-players usually never end well and Henry's managerial career so far isn't looking promising.

CL goals since the start of last season:

    Messi + Ronaldo = 15
    Mbappe + Haaland = 28

    A new era has begun.

Not sure it will be Henry looking at it, but certainly seems favourite.

Somewhere in an alternate reality Erling Haaland achieved fame by leading Doncaster Rovers to the Champions League against Bayern Munich in 2023.

That alternate timeline is my FIFA 19 save.

This was exactly my opinion of having head the news. It is a move that will garner plenty of media attention but I wonder if Bournemouth fans will be allowed back at Dean Court before Henry has been sussed and shown the door. Had they wished to have gone high profile, Frank Lampard was the obvious choice assuming he was interested. If it is true, the best that you can say is that at least it is not John Terry! If I was a Bournemouth fan, I would be worried by the rationale for this appointment.

Haaland is just a mutant. He’s a ****ing machine built to score goals.
He’s a second generation player who also happens to be a 6’2” super athlete. If he stays fit he’s for sure the next big outlier in all the big lists of players sorted by various numbers.

I was just coming on here to say that the piece on Athletic today by Daniel Taylor about Gavin Grant being a murderer was really good. It’s worth a trial at least folks.

If he really is a murderer then he deserves a trial.

Serie A update: Maya has 17 starts and 21 appearances overall, Gaston has three assists, and Manolo's been injured most of the year. But Samphampton is comfortably midtable, as it should be.
