He's been good in the prem too. Makes you wonder why he never made the step up to a big club when it was offered to him.

    Big fish, small pond syndrome.

Hope Fosse don’t try to take credit for Kane’s 156 PL goals that followed the 2 he bagged for them (on loan) in the lower leagues

He's probably thankful to Leicester, they took a gamble on him tbh, and his first season with them he was very poor, least thats what the goal tally suggests.Stuck with him and look at him now, Nigel Pearson the magician.

I was gonna say Eidur earlier, but he was always more a CAM than an out and out striker, I dunno, didn't seem to fit in with the rest of the shouts you know.

Defoe is the only player I have ever seen hit the big screen above the goal in the Chapel end at St Mary's. So hard it rattled. From 6 yards out.

Not sure you could call him underrated, kudos for his work ethic and longevity though <ok>

Was a 10 to Jimmy Floyd's 9 when strikers used to play in pairs.

Think Defoe was under rated but think Andy Cole was even more so (outside of United)
To score 184 Premier league goals without taking penalties and not being the only top striker at United (OGS, Sheringham, and Yorke) is ****ing amazing. Think he also missed over a year through injury in one go.
