A link here to the Fulham Pier web site, showing the interface of the new stand and the river, looks very good and something we will be proud of and use at anytime you may be nearby. https://fulhampier.com/
A very good video update on the new stand, good progress too considering the current times. Lots of mitigation and innovation to keep or better the programme. https://www.fulhamfc.com/news/2020/october/October-Riverside-Update/
A gallery of the structure of the Riverside Stand. https://www.fulhamfc.com/news/2020/november/Riverside-Stand-Gallery/ Looks like they've done the full length to the Hammersmith End & about half towards the Putney End so far on the stand, haven't started on the apartments. Wonder if they will complete the stand before putting in the flats and corners.
The April update, all roof trusses are on, brilliant progress enabled by Old Father Thames. https://www.fulhamfc.com/news/2021/april/April-Riverside-Update/
Here is the May update, progressing very well. https://www.fulhamfc.com/news/2021/may/May-Riverside-Update/
I wonder if the delays are going to be with the fittings and electrics. Remember the problems Tottenham had with their electrics and finding suitable Electricians and fitters. There are so many projects going on in London and the UK there seems to be the lack of trades people to carry everything out on time.
Substantial completion of the building works is likely by Christmas, then fit out. It's progressing very well.
The latest from the club, the lower tier of the riverside stand to open in the summer. https://www.fulhamfc.com/news/2022/march/11/welcoming-fans-back-to-the-riverside/ The Club is pleased to announce supporters will be welcomed back onto the riverside next season, with the opening of the lower tier of the new Riverside Stand from this summer. The complex nature of the project, coupled with implications arising from the Coronavirus pandemic, means that the development of Fulham Pier will continue throughout next season - including the completion of interior fit-outs of spaces throughout the venue. Whilst we are preparing for full occupancy, ahead of the full opening of the Riverside Stand and Fulham Pier in the summer of 2023, the opening of the lower tier represents the first phase of supporters being located in the new stand – a milestone moment in the development of the project. During the 2022/23 campaign Season Tickets will become available in the lower tier on a single season basis, providing the first opportunity for supporters to experience the new stand. The new Riverside Stand will provide some of the very best seats Craven Cottage has ever had to offer, allowing unprecedented views of the matchday action. Fans will have the chance to immerse themselves in the thick of the action, with the lower tier offering exceptional perspectives of the pitch, alongside and directly behind the dugouts, allowing you to see the match unfold through the eyes of the Head Coach. Current Season Ticket Holders who previously had a seat in the former Riverside Stand prior to the project beginning in 2019 will be prioritised to purchase seats in the new stand. More information on this will follow in the coming days. Everyone at the Club is thrilled to welcome fans to the Riverside as we embark on an exciting new chapter in the history of Fulham Football Club. please log in to view this image please log in to view this image
I was thinking of moving to the Riverside stand but just seen the prices - £1000 for all seats whether at half way line or by the corner flag, exposed to the elements or covered. I'm not sure I'm that keen on moving at that price but it certainly looks good.
I'd discussed this with my mates before the prices came out and we'd agreed our preference to stay behind the goal, but the prices certainly aren't making me think again. I'm sure we'll get hammered with a 10% price increase anyway for next season, but the stand would have to be absolutely magical to get me to move for double the cost!
