Can you also give us the goalscorers and the order? Oh and the lottery results on Tuesday. #MysticRichie
We've actually given City a good game every time in the league under Ralph. We lost 3-1 in the League Cup which was one sided but our results in the league under Ralph are: Saints 0-1 Man City Saints 1-0 Man City Man City 2-1 Saints Saints 1-3 Man City And the games in which we lost by 1 goal could have been draws.
After Utd's victory, City will be low on confidence, and will not be up for any sort of game on Wednesday. That, and our extra day's rest, will mean that we are guaranteed to win. At least, that's the way it's meant to work.
We have beaten the current champions this season, the fa cup holders, so let's just get the complete set and beat the champions elect.
The chances of beating them twice in a season are incredibly slim though. Therefore, rather than beating them on Wednesday, lets leave it until May.
I think a tight game would be a good result for us whether we win or lose. This is a very good City side, best they've been for 3 seasons I reckon so its a free hit for us. Confidence wise the worst thing would be getting a drubbing so hoping we keeping it to a single goal. Ralph's big challenge will be finding a strip that Diallo can actually see. If he gives it away even half as much as he did against Sheff we will get a hiding. Romeu will be a huge loss for us in this game as not only does he not do what Diallo did on sat but he seems to always play out of his skin against Citeh. Show Diallo some of those performances and hope he can step up.
Diallo already has stepped up. I think you need to consider that yesterday was Diallo's first match in a couple of months. Before his injury he was outstanding.
Yep, I'm fully behind him, but that doesn't mean that he wasn't awful with his distribution yesterday. Against a better side he could have shipped 2 goals and against City that would be horrendous. edit. reading my last post it did sound general but I was only talking about his performance against Sheff. He was solid before the injury.
He could, but he didn't, and instead was responsible for our crucial first goal. I do hear what you're saying though, but agree with Tom, he was rusty. He'll get back there soon.
To be honest I'd rest Diallo and KWP for City anyway. I know that increases the chances of us losing badly. But KWP only just came back from injury last time and played two games in 4 days and got injured again in the second one. Be crazy to do that again imo, especially given the games we have after City.
