I think they gonna come at us early, and if we fight fire with fire we can be superb on the break, we’ve seen it.

If we score first, we win this game for me.

    50/1 on the Wyke hat-trick.

Cash out available so £20 on that an an early goal and you can bag £200 cash out.

I think with our makeshift defence we'll see a switch back to 3-4-3. I think weve benefited from playing poor opposition in the last 5 games and have got away with the patched together back line. Even though Pompey have been in rocky form the likes of Marquis, Harness and Curtis concern me.

In isolation a draw would be a decent result but I think a win is a must if we harbour ambitions of top 2.

Some interesting fixtures at the top tonight that could change the landscape

    Burge
    Power Sanderson O'Nien
    Gooch Scowen Winchester McFaz
    Jones Wyke Mcgeady

I think these will fly out at us. We need to stand strong first 20 mins then impose ourselves on the game. Hopefully all the attention on McGeady means Jones can have a big impact

Doesn’t it. One of the better players in the league and physical with it.

The exact kind we struggle with a wee bit.

Not forgetting Marquis and Curtis, we can't carry any passengers at the back tonight against this lot.

    Getting nervous about this now.
Think LJ will change his system first half and go one up top, Charlie, and nullify them first half then change to 343 second half.
He's a thinking manager is LJ.

I'm generally happy to see O'Brien start because Wyke plays better with him there imo. He links up play well and never stops making decoy runs, etc.

He'd be my first name on the team sheet tonight. I'm sure everyone has noticed how often he makes headed clearances from opposition corners and free kicks, and that may be Portsmouth's main chance of a goal. I think we'll also benefit from his aggression which Jones doesn't have. I think starting both Jones and McGeady tonight would be a bit of a luxury, but Jones is a fantastic option from the bench.

The suggestion has been that Portsmouth are like Gillingham, big, physical and will bombard our penalty area with high balls. I guess hard tackling too. We have to match them. LJ has to pick the team accordingly.

    I like O’Brien. He contributes.

I do think we see better possession when he’s there, he forces the game a bit.

He’s been ****e lately for them, so if we had a competent left back then it wouldn’t be a worry. I’d probably start Vokins.

I’d start Vokina just for the Saints link.

That derby is one of the naughtiest in country, it’s up there with ours and the Brum one.
