I was pleased by the defensive display - Dickie excellent again - and we rarely looked in danger but TBH I was shocked just how poor we were elsewhere. We have seen some decent possession football from the Rs this season but that completely evaporated against Wycombe's pressure and physicality. Not a single Rangers player seemed able to bring the ball down and retain it under pressure. Hey ho. Another three points are very welcome but Warburton needs to consider how we handle teams who don't want to play the beautiful game.
Awful game but we won so who cares. 2 on the bounce, another clean sheet. Maybe the start of a second winning run who knows? Some real positives to take into next season, starting to build a foundation.
Winning in ugly games, not something we're very good at. Not entirely sure why I took pleasure at seeing Swansea dropping points, it's never going to happen this season.
It did seem like he would give one eventually mate. Other than not dishing out a card for their cheating, I thought the ref had a good game. I think it was Simon Hooper ( great surname ) who's a Premier League referee, he was having none of their theatrics.
I just googled QPR U23s and picked the least promising name for awjm's amusment. Squad number 27 by the look of it.
Some very positive results to take into next season. Johansson, Field and Austin will all return to their parent clubs despite any noises coming from them. All are playing well which brings the attention of other clubs who can offer higher wages. I have a feeling we are just on a roundabout. The team without these loans just wasnt cutting the mustard. That's where we will be again next season. I hope I'm wrong.
