He should absolutely school the prick and make his shares worthless.

You never know, KLD might want him about for a bit longer. He might be useful for something, find a role for him in the club really to his abilitied. Say washing the stadium roof. Or cleaning the toilets. Or even being a toilet attendant. I think he'd make a good bog trog. Or just as half time entertainment. I like the thought of him wearing a large string of sausages being chased around the pitch at half time by a couple of hungry dogs. The possibilities are endless!

Bog trog? That's canny that, a lot more PC than the term was when I was younger and going to clubs!

    Wonderful.

"Hi Stew. I'm putting £10m into the upgrade. Are you doing the same? Or shall we dilute your shares a bit?"

Don’t think they will need to blink , seems like they have all been wearing blindfolds during their ownership as they seemed oblivious to the downward trend the club was on and still the cuts continued . We are well rid of their influences and the fact they have minor shareholding’s is the main thing , if KLD puts pressure on them so be it , the more the better - squeeze them till they squeak .

Do we know for certain that Donald’s shares are not protected and can be diluted by way of KLD’S future investment?

Donald and his financial advisors / lawyers have to be aware of the investment needed in the club, not just the squad but the SOL & AOL need work so to do a deal where his shares become worth less the more is spent by KLD just seems ridiculous.

From the beginning he was holding out for a buyer that would let him retain some shares that he could capitalise on once the club moved up the leagues and increased in value, so why end up in this situation of having to match a billionaires investment or be wheedled out. Doesn’t make sense to me.

I’m sure most owners who pump money into their clubs these days do it by way of a directors loan and usually interest free.

More than anything else it is this. Their evasions and deceit have been disgusting.

There's nothing in the public domain one way or another, but time will likely show that he's eased out. Not sure if anything at companies house would show the status of the shares. As for why, well he needed KLD much more than the other way round and if KLD walked he was in a lot of trouble. Initially the plan may have been to protect his shares, with investment coming as a directors loan from KLD instead of a share issue, but plans change when relationships sour. If he had protected shares he'd be keeping at least some of them until we got to the PL, and I'm incredibly confident that he'll be devoid of shares well before that happens. Wouldn't surprise me if he was long gone by this time next year tbh, regardless of promotion

I've always thought the concourses were a bit "that'll do" and i thought they would go back and finish them off but they never did - ****ing hell even a lick of paint or something would smarten them up. Also i've always thought they were far too small for the size of the ground - back in the hey days of being in the premier league under Reidy it was a right **** on to move about either going for a pint or a piss.

Extend the concourses outwards for me - theres definately room for it and it would mean space for everyone. Also I'd be tapping up someone like Frank Styles to do murals - not just past players etc but landmarks from around the city to really give the concourses a new lease of life - I'd be tempted to get him to do something that ties in with shipbuilding and coal mining - especially something related to wearmouth pit.

Theres plenty of wall space for him and i think he would do a fantastic job and it would resonate with a lot of our fans. The old can remember and it could also educate the younger fans.

If I was KLD I’d be inclined to make him an offer now to walk away, Sartori and Methven too. At least then he could crack on with the rebuild without those lot in the shadows.

If his shares are diluted, I'd expect a press charm offensive from him, just like Bruce. Fans were against us from the start. They didn't understand the financial strain. It was covids fault we had to cut. They kidnapped my daughter. They didn't like my salmon pants. We're just lovable characters that tried to make a difference.
