Could do with Sunderland screwing up tomorrow night.Need to win on Saturday to put the pressure back on.
I think the results are now reflecting what we realised a while back. There are no push overs in this league. Things are going well for City but there's no room for complacency.
Peterborough have a very tough last 5 games of the season" Gills(H),Charlton(A),Lincoln(h) and Donny (H & A), as well as Sunderland a couple of games before then.
Most of those teams are on a downer at the moment. Lincoln have lost their leading scorer to injury. Donny look as if there bubble has burst. Charlton the same. It's great that there are lots of teams fighting for the top 6. It means there are less meaningless matches and as we already have the points in the bag it's all good.
I think Stanley have gone off a bit, got quite a lot of injuries so anything they get will be a bonus.
Just had a go on this : Automatic promotion, play-offs or bust? Predict Hull City's final 10 games - Hull Live (hulldailymail.co.uk) had us as 2nd on goal diff from Peterborough and Sunderland winning overall
I predict you are wrong. Us top, then Peterborough second and the Geordies third. At what point did Sunderland stop being known as Geordies?
The results couldn't have gone much better, maybe Portsmouth wins or a draw. The way things look, I would say it's probably down to P'boro, Sunderland, or us on current form, but as we all know things can change. Certainly A. Stanley taking a point or 3 off Sunderland wouldn't hurt.
They used to sing about being Geordies even in the 80's. I had the conversation with Sunderland fans on their site, and the older ones fully agreed. The Mackem name is very recent.
You are 100% incorrect about them being known as Geordies. I know they are know as Mackams now hence why I asked the question.
They did. I was thinking how they were right up their with us and then they tailed off. They only won one out of 6 in Feb but March not lost in 5 (11 points out of 15). Not as good as our 15 though. COYH.
