Bit annoying if Che is going to play for Scotland, purely from a selfish point of view as he will lose his time off in international breaks.
Adams called up by Scotland. Che Adams called up to Scotland squad for World Cup qualifiers - BBC Sport
Good for Che. I should really be more supportive of Scotland since my grandparents on my dad's side are Dundonians. Maybe having a couple of Saints in the team will help.
That’s a big upgrade for Scotland up front and I can see why Adams has gone for it with striker being one of Scotlands weakest positions and one of Englands strongest, very likely walks into their first XI for the Euros as well. Hope he has a long and productive international career, as long as he has an off day against England .
Don't begrudge him getting a chance on the international scene. But on a selfish level the more players we have staying behind to work with Ralph the better.
"Not too long ago, I got a little inkling or a little tip off that he was interested in choosing Scotland as his international country.", says Steve Clarke. Mmm, I wonder who in the Saints camp gave him that tip off ????
I have a feeling our Fraser might be about to sneak himself back into the England squad. Not necessarily on any great merit, but Pickford is out and what other English keepers in the PL are getting game time outside of Pope, D Henderson and Ramsdale who is with the Under 21's? Feel slightly sorry for McCarthy, he has had a rough patch behind an outfield team in awful form, before the collapse he was having a fantastic season and would have thoroughly deserved a call up imo.
Ralph Krueger has been fired as the head coach of the Buffalo Sabres. They were the worst team in the NHL, having lost 12 games in a row (the longest winless streak in a decade, because it's really hard to stack up losses with the NHL's stupid overtime rules) and 17 of their past 19.

There goes my Forster prediction, fair play though Johnstone had been playing relatively well in a poor West Brom side. Pleasantly surprised that JWP has retained his place despite our recent form. Nice to see Southgate actually select some left backs. I thought Buyako Saka was a full back, odd to see him at striker! Very well deserved call up for Ollie Watkins. On another note, how desperate is the situation for the Republic of Ireland to still have to call up Shane long, they really need to throw everything at getting Bamford to declare for Ireland, what the hell has happened to Irish football?
