Neither do I. I was flicking channels and caught the first 10 minutes. I was interested in what the panel said about the rollout. I turned it off when it got back to the usual rubbish. I would add that I was surprised by Ian Hislop.
Breaking: German health minister says there is not enough vaccine In Europe to stop the third wave alone.
We must keep our borders closed, both too and from Europe for months yet, while those EU numpties preside over such a cock up. Surely no one would plan a holiday to Europe for the foreseeable future?
Going to see how the villa looks in lanzarote. Been letting a local family stay there who fell on hard times.
eer I was hoping to go to my French home in July. Although I would go by the Euro tunnel drive straight to my house which is in the middle of the countryside. I don’t have any contact with people... even the garage is self service. We have very few people in our hamlet and no reported cases according to our French neighbour. However I will monitor the situation.
Bit of an argument between brothers about who's going first! Hopefully this family can get settled elsewhere quick sharpish, been in nearly 8 months now but seem to be looking after the place. Let them use it rent free to get back on their feet.
If you’ve had your jabs and there are no nasty new variants circulating, why not? I wouldn’t go if everything’s still in lockdown of course, but I’m still hoping for a break watching some footy in the summer leagues in the Baltics. Might be a long shot. Hospitalisations and deaths here falling but infection rates not so fast. I think this is actually a good thing - shows that the vulnerable are protected to a large extent and that we can live with a level of infection which produces largely mild responses. Gareth Southgate thinks professional footballers should get vaccinated as a priority, something to do with the Euro championships. Well, he can **** off, if policemen, firefighters, teachers etc are still waiting until their age band are called.
I've got 2 weeks in Portugal booked for October & 4 weeks thru February,Clubs polished so let life commence
Hopefully things will be much better by then mate. I was really referring to the next few months, as it seems the EU are going to take a while to get things under control. Stan makes a good point though. If we're all vaccinated then at least we can be reasonably confident of not getting it badly. I wonder what kind of protection is given against long covid? Maybe they'll know when there's more data. Lanzarote is beautiful mate. Whereabouts?
Costa Teguise, love it there. Would prefer playa Blanca but hey ho. I think the problem will arise with other countries (destinations) not being prepared with vaccinations etc rather than us. That's my concern.
Been to Costa Teguise twice & beach nice but do get strong winds, going to cancel my booking to Torremolinos in early June as wife don’t fancy it yet as too early, got booking to paphos in September & shall probably go there
i was in puerto del carmen but drove around all over the place. Loved it with the missus. So chilled and relaxing especially since December was freezing in the uk and it was nice and sunny in lanzarote
France now advising the AZ vaccine should be used for over 55's only. It would be laughable if it wasn't so serious
