Top three in order, only if you saw the game, you know the drill.

    Docherty
    Jones
    Magennis.

Special mention for referee Carl Ward who got more mentions on the commentary then all 22 players put together. Wouldn't book anyone for 40 minutes but blew for everything, almost 20 free kicks in the 1st half alone. Then he went yellow card crazy. Failed to get a grip of the game and as a result it was a stop start frustrating one. Looked out of his depth. .

Not at our best today . Nobody really poor , although Wilks was at his most frustrating today ,
and no stand out performance .
    However .
Docherty - a better 2 nd half with more energy and decent passing , oh and a nice goal.
Jones - did his usual tackling , passing and protecting the defence .
Coyle - tried to get us going down the right and defended when required .
A game should on paper have won , but whole top 6 cancelled each other out .
    Come on City .

    Docherty probably.
Then perm any 2 from the back 5 including Ingram who was unlucky with the goal.
Defensively they had to be resolute today, and probably knew that Shrewsbury would play that way (don't all Steve Cotterill teams?) but stood up to it.
Tough to watch, but what matters most is the point gained.

Real struggle this week as no-one seemed to have their passing range.

Docherty for the goal but a lot of his passes were overhit or off the mark
    Elder for his consistent work
Ingram as he did nothing wrong and was unlucky with the goal.

I know we got kicked off the park, but I thought all the forwards, Honeyman, Coyle were all not quite at it. Which is a bit worrying. Maybe we do better playing Sat, Tues.

I also think it's daft trying to shoehorn Whyte into his favourite position at the expense of Wilks being in his favourite position. Second half starting line-up is to my mind much better.

    Difficult one.

Ingram - unlucky with the goal but made some important saves to keep us in it.

    Burke - did nothing wrong.

Magennis, showed some nice touches and we looked much better with him playing down the middle.

Ref poor, lost track of the fouls committed by Shrewsbury, obviously a game plan!
Wilks and KLP not with it today.

Bad game to pick 3 from.

    Doc for the goal
Burke did nothing, wrong or right
    Ingram, same as Burke.

Awful first half to watch. We looked the better team in the second half, but Ref was whistle happy and spoiled the game. Remember that Refs name - Gavin Ward, The worst I've ever seen. Now I know why Neil Warnock was going crazy after the Middlesboro v Swansea game last week !!!!!

Doherty - found new energy in the second half and a well taken goal.
Elder - not his best but worked hard and was a threat down the left.
    Coyle -

Really hard to choose anyone. The defence was never really in danger, even though Shrewsbury threatened quite often so I am going for:
    Burke
    Docherty
    Ingram.

I am beginning to think Coyle is too close to the central defenders a lot, leaving lots of space free for opposition wide men. He is often having to chase to get near them.

We didn't produce anything of worth. We didn't deserve more than a point. Ah well, another week of impatient waiting. I prefer it when we play on Tuesdays as well.

Yep. The rest didn't seem to do us any good whatsoever! They looked worse for having a break.
