We need a goal and we just took off 2 of our 3 strikers on the pitch. Walker and Ayunga off and midfielder Barrett and left back Tutonda comes on. Im quite perplexed to be honest. Serves me right for bothering to show the tiniest glimpse of interest today.
I need Rovers to score and we get a point. JCH hatrick Peterborough 7 - 0 up O Nien has just head butted Hanlan and been given a free kick
FGR lost as well Bluebaldee and from what I am reading in the press you will not be on your own and I would not like to see you lower the tone of the club by joining them in their riots. On a happier note I thought Walker and Martinez had good games today, so hope fully we will see more of our youngster's between now and the end of the season
Right, we are 2nd bottom. Rochdale are below us by 2 points. However they have TWO games in hand on us. The other 2 teams in the relegation zone above us, also have games in hand on us.
We all said we needed experience and more strikers in this squad. This is what happens when you get rid of JCH for peanuts and don't replace his goals. We will finish bottom.
Rovers just had their biggest crowd in 3 years... could you remind me how many points for the correct score please?
If they play like we are playing then games in hand will not be relevant. In answer to your question minus 5 for all City supporters Massive
Played 38. Failed to score a single goal in 18 of them. That's 47.7% of our league games where we haven't scored.
Tough game for us today that. I would wish you luck for the rest of the season but ya manager is absolute pond life
We (the supporters) don't deserve this, but as with most things in football, it's out of our control and there's nothing we can do to affect things. We (the club) have got precisely what they deserve - appalling recruitment, continued failure to strengthen the weaknesses in the squad, persistence with failed formulas on the pitch and an unwillingness to change personnel and systems, until we end up in the position we are now in, where it isn't possible to change anything anyway and we are stuck with what we've got. With the policy of not replacing quality with equal quality, this has been a calamity waiting to happen for ages, and the inevitable now seems almost certain to happen. Sadly we've always been a 'selling' club, we all know the long list of quality players we have sold on over the decades, and every time we haven't replaced them with decent players, we have ultimately suffered. There's no reason to assume anything will ever change, so I guess we will spend all our existence yo-yoing between leagues 1,2 and the Conference. European nights at the Mem may have to wait a while longer!!
Wonderful report on the Rovers page about todays game, it was written about 4 hours ago and it is quite accurate seeing as it was written as the game was only just starting
Why oh why do we bother ! I have watched this club since the late sixties and apart from one or two moments of glory we have basically been CRAP. We have played in crap stadia, watched crap players managed by crap coaches all seen over by crap owners ( with one exception). This season has been particularly hard as well having to watch from afar with no opportunity to voice any opinions or offer any encouragement that has been so desperately needed. When I look at clubs like BHA and look at where they are now it is really hard not to feel incredibly envious. I mean, they were one game from the conference and playing at the bloody Withdean ffs and look at them now ! I don’t know if I will have the enthusiasm to renew my ST for next year, I might get my kicks from my local town side on a Saturday afternoon in the Toolstation, Oh well, hey ho Ipswich and Donny up next !!!!
