Enjoying this Herring is very good and sat Frampton down nicely there. Well ahead. Nasty cut though Interesting
Really, how bizarre. I thought it was about the recent court case where Richard Herring had to fight the local council of Frampton on Seven for the right to put on his satirical stand up highly critical of their new traffic calming measures.
I just assumed it was a continuation of the Good Friday fish and chip thread and Rick Stein was delivering herring now.
Herring had the reach and the height advantage. Was Frampton wearing dodgy footwear? He seemed to slip and lose his balance on a couple of occasions. Defo lost it with that straight left. Wise decision to hang up the gloves.
I think his balance was affected more by being punched in the head than his footwear, but you’re right he was slipping early. I thought it was because he was having to overbalanced to get inside Herring’s reach. Agree on it being the right time to retire, and he has said beforehand he would if he lost (which I always think is a bad thing to say as it proves you’re thinking about losing)
I worked as a steward on the Norland for a fair few years and could never get over how much the Dutch and Germans loved pickled herring. I think they were called rollmops or something, as soon as the buggers came onboard they went straight for them. I’ve watched some of the most beautiful woman I’ve seen stuff their faces with the things. I once tried one because I’ve always said don’t make comments unless you’ve tried it. Well I really wished I’d took no notice of that advice as they were just the most horrible thing I’ve ever had in my mouth ( honest your honour). Disgusting taste that lingers for ****ing hours in your mouth and throat, 15 pints of larger would still not take the taste away. A pair of sweaty socks sat at the back of your draw for two weeks would taste better IMO. Weird ****ers those Europeans !!!!
I guess that makes me a European. I bloody love the pickled herrings. On work trips to Scandinavia there were often 3, 4 or even more varieties available on the breakfast buffets. Yum.
