Yeh that's why I mentioned the coaching. How is Greenwood developing? We all know, as soon as he picks up the ball he's doing one thing and one thing only and the defenders know it too. Wan Bissaka's job is to run forward, cross the half-way line, check back and make the 30 yard pass back to the cb. He picks Martial because he has pace, but fails to realise pace alone is pointless against teams that sit back in two banks of 4 for 90 mins, when the bloke isn't a natural striker.

Fred is a mess imo. He has no positional sense, he can't read the game, which means he's always blindsided, he can't tackle, and he's never ever ever intercepted a pass. The irony is that Carrick is one of the coaches. A player who never really relied on tackling because he had the rest of those attributes which made him a far better player.

I honestly believe Ole sends them out with two bits of advice. "Don't lose lads" and "Make something happen".

Everyone was laughing at him though, you included, as he’d stunk out United for a full season then got lobbed in the stiffs.

Once he gets his move and a bumper new deal somewhere he’ll slide back into his Instagram life and forget the actual togger again.

 

We actually are twelfth so they’ll have a fight on their hands to steal our crown.

The guy is currently at the top of his game. The main issue i thought he had - perhaps incorrectly - was consistency. Whether it's just being a little older now or that he has a point to prove but he's being consistently excellent since he went to W. Ham and there's no way you can leave him out of the England team - let alone squad - if he's playing like this.

 

Testament to how unbelievably **** he has been that everyones going on about him now he's scoring goals and doing his job.

Guys been absolute gash and no one is changing history cos he's poked in a few while on loan.

On the Newcastle board we were worried we were going to end up with j-lings and p-jones from Man Utd on loan. We were actually concerned he'd be playing instead of the likes of Ryan Fraser...

 

He was linked with us for long enough, it became a standing joke. Moyes has taken a punt on him, as he’s always been extremely partial to a United reject.

 

Liverpool have already had their way with you twice this season, i suspect you'll feel their girth once more as they slide into 4th.
