I said to my Toon mate today that if Fulham lose, then that’s it they’ll go. To lose like that I think they’ll crumble and go down with a whimper now.
Totally agree, detached by 3 points, played 2 games more than Newcastle.......with only 6 to play for them. Current bottom 3 to go for me.
I have got no attachment to any of the bottom clubs but I would prefer Fulham to stay up over Newcastle. I have grown a bit of a liking to Scott Parker as a manager ( never that fussed when a player) that final game of the season could still matter.
Me too. I like the way he conducts himself and I think he’s done well Fulham and Toon both have a bugger of a run in. You could see Fulham not getting anything till that last game and Toon only getting points from the Blades game Fulham need a surprise win ASAP or they’re gone
And can he come back? There’s none of the prima donna behaviour apparent there. He seems to be putting in a shift every game
Probably pissed off he’s got to make a new **** video, promoting himself to wherever we loan him to next season.
Its getting to that time of the season when ‘winnable’ and ‘unwinnable’ games are much harder to call. If Chelsea progress in the UCL for example, their game with Fulham comes bang in the middle of the two semi-final legs.
They could still do it but personally think they've blown it now. Momentum can mean a lot in football and they've lost all theirs at a critical time.
I know mentioning the name Mark Hughes on here is a dangerous game, but when he was covering Fulham's game against WBA on BBC the other week, he did say that he was worried Fulham had gone onto a good run too early (as strange as that might sound). Keeping it going through to the end of the season was always going to be tough, and so he was worried about your exact point of them losing momentum at the worst time. I don't give WBA a chance of staying up. And yet if they beat us on Monday, I would rather be in WBA's camp than in Fulham's.
I am ambivalent about him at the moment, watching some of his performances, he seems to be a better player, but I am not sure what role he is supposed to be doing, mostly in to make the numbers up and not doing anything spectacular like that 2018 effort, not sure that he could offer anything better than we already have?
True but good for Ralph to have the option, with a new attitude, in a better team and with Ralph to help, who knows? He's obviously got some ability and Parker has transformed him into a functional team member at least If he wanted to try again, I think Ralph is pragmatic enough not to hold a grudge and see if it could work You could be right, he will probably never be as good as we thought he was originally, but could be a useful backup and we are a bit short CM-wise, dependent on how quickly Alex works out
