And the comments of him being lightweight etc. Or I don’t see what he brings to the club.
I asked on OTIB what his stats on being fouled and it was very high. To me he’s not lightweight but draws players in to fouling him as he’s very good at shielding the ball. Pearson said that he don’t normally single players out but would like a team of Noah’s a few games back.

Wasn't too long ago people were all for offering Diedhiou a new improved contract and were saying that there was nothing in the stories surrounding Joe Williams and his injury.

    Funny old game Saint.

LJ was relentless in picking Massengo even when he was playing particularly poorly, when crowds were still in the stadium pre lockdown and Holden repeated it by trying to bring him into a failing team.

Pearson has proved that he will not throw the kids under the bus as he did with Towler who was walking a red card tightrope and Massengo is still a kid.

He's 19 not a 16 year old......bit of a load of waffle if you ask me..................protecting is keeping them out of the media, not by playing them..
Pearson hasn't done anything different IMO....he's playing him cus he's one of our best players.....as he's always been....was needing game time to get used to English and championship football.........IMO LJ & Deano was right to play him.........sorry Jiffie, you're talking twaddle and not for the first time!!!!

I wasn't expecting you to agree and couldn't care less, you have your opinion and I have mine, you can rubbish mine all you like, I find some of the comments like that of a food critic commenting on restaurant food that they haven't even tasted.

Pearson would withdraw him the minute his form dropped unlike LJ who played him relentlessly.

PS:- We have players as old as 23 in the development squad who have not made their first team debuts yet.

Rooney was off playing for Everton when he was 17 FFS in the premiership as was Giggs and plenty more........19 is not a kid..
You were just unable to see the full potential in Massengo..admit it.....
Pearson would withdraw any player no matter what age if their form dropped....................
And WTF has it got to do with being a food critic??....you're just digging a bigger hole Jiffie..................absolute twaddle.........oh yes...IMO

The player is lightweight but people place to much emphasis on bulk v mobility. Players are running further than ever. Modern players are more mobile. Fitness to press and recovery post press is a part of modern football. The player here is lightweight but mobile, displaying constant intensity and displays a fighters mindset in a team that frequently gets beat. Its all a skill.

Technically he is not of a high standard on the ball. The team will benefit from Massengo having a partner with the subset he hasn't got.

Took him long enough to drop Diedhiou.
You say that LJ and DH played him too much but NP is playing him all the time.

    PS I like Italian food

He has hardly got any alternatives has he? unless you can suggest them? the club never thought a left back or striker was important enough to bring in during two windows and of course Pearson hasn't had a window yet has he?

PS:- I find Italian food much like our squad, disappointing.

The food critic analogy is aimed at the people who criticise and fire out snide comments without having even bothered to have watched games.

The only twaddle is coming from somebody who claims that a 30 year old Jack Hunt could improve from coaching, 3 managers/coaches and god knows how many more coaches that BCFC have had since his arrival have not managed that and saying that we should keep Adelakum a player who has played 7 times in 3 years. I can only assume that person has not watched either player this season especially.

The difference is I can admit when I have got it wrong, I am quite happy to admit I called it wrong over Massengo, he's certainly not the finished article by any stretch and his passing needs improvement, but with the right midfield partner, he could be the player to allow the likes of Semenyo and Palmer to create chances. I don't have to be right, I have absolutely no agenda, other than seeing my club be far more consistent than have been for the past 3 years.

Also although you claim to support Pearson, you cannot lead me to one post expressing that support, but there is an awful lot of snide comments, the only thing missing is the vitriol in your posts and your posts would be the same as the LJ haters you constantly cross swords with.

Well for starters, you are incorrect in the games I've watched.........maybe not as many as you admittedly, but enough to form an opinion overall. I'm able to watch every City game, when and when i want to.(epic).......I've not missed many.
You can always coach players, no matter what their age IMO.......many a player can become better with experience...but I've said many times, I don't rate Hunt....but doesn't stop him from learning.
As for Adelakum.....in the few appearances I've seen, he looks to have a bit of flair about him......I have a weakness for players with ability...maybe you don't :emoticon-0105-wink: that's why I rated Massengo. it's why I like Palmer etc..

As for Pearson, the jury IMO is still out as far as I'm concerned.......I'm not sucked in to what he's achieved previously and thought he was arrogant in the past seemingly being in the mix of controversy in most clubs he's managed .. Hands up, I started to warm to him when he first came here.....but to be honest, I expected to see more improvement than there has been, but I am aware it's early days and he has done what he was brought in to do.....................
I'm struggling to back him, until SL makes his mind up if he is to remain with us ongoing...........I'm more annoyed that this hasn't already been resolved as the new manager needs as much time as possible to plan ahead..
