He was changing the formation and line up before that. Form can slip. Its as simple as that.

I have tried staying positive but that is probably the worst 45 minutes I've seen in a long time when it will probably turn out to being one of the most important.
The top 2 will now be filled with confidence, knowing the have the cushion of losing a least 1 game more than us and can't get caught and after the last 2 performances I think we will be lucky to get anything from are 2 games against Blackpool and the one against Hull.
2 weeks ago I was telling everyone that would listen that we would win the league easily. Unless something changes I think we will struggle in the play offs

According to BBC we had 19 shots only 2 on target. Seems Wyke can't control the ball is that why all his goals are one touch as he will have lost the ball before the second touch

    Heart breaking I’m devastated
    I thought we were on a good run {yeah not expecting to win every game }
    However I expected better
I think it’s play offs now
Unless the other two teams fall apart like us

Tactics dont mean **** if players can't do the simple basics. No way should that team be failing to take 0/6 points from Wigan.

Complain to Sunderland Streaming Support about lack of stadium sound and first get an automated response telling me the game will only be available from kick off (this mid way through the 2nd half!).

Complain about the auto response and this is what I get...

    "Hi there,

We have identified an issue with the sound in the fixture and it only seems to be effecting certain viewers.

    Regards,"

So that's all right then! As shameless as the knackers on the pitch these last two games.

Won't bother with it for the rest of the season.

I can't believe this time last week automatic promotion was in our own hands and now we've all but gone and handed it to Peterborough and Hull. We're so fecking frustrating :headbang:.

Absolutely raging here. That was utterly pathetic from the players and manager tonight. Just a shame there’s no fans there to let them know how we feel. Will be over the moon to see most of these clowns sacked off in the summer.

I’m not happy the way we’ve collapsed again
I can’t understand why this happens all the time

i really wanted to say something positive after that first half...

did we have a shot on target 2nd half?

once we scored we seemed to stroll along thinking we had the game won, not a single player in red and white on that pitch actually looked like they were playing for a team gunning for promotion, gooch brought a little urgency and at least got some balls into the box but where were our men in the box.

the last time i watched a stream i was able to pick up on improvements, i have no idea where those improvements have gone as this was most definately a return to parky days, we have no one capable of running at the opponents defence, we have no one capable of holding play up, we must be the worst passing team in the league.

the ref, well i thought he had an ok 1st half but should have had his cards out sooner for those little hacks they did every time we got the ball but then, in less than 6 minutes of the 2nd half he books two of our players...standards in this league are sadly lacking, more concern was shown for placing the ball an inch either way from a corner than towards a team that kicked it's way to the interval.

promotion is looking a long way off after this, hopefully, LJ will get a squad together in the summer that can play the way he wants rather than what he inherited.

Very disappointing the loss of Connor was a bigger blow than anyone could have foreseen, and Jones was very poor again , Stewart looks a year or two away from being ready for this league, all in all a bit of a shambles tonight, after the early promise, with Diamond and McGeady looking the part.

It doesn’t take balls to throw on 4 subs at 2-1 down.

It takes balls to be patient and bring those subs on at the right time.

Yes we've bottled it - twice in 3 days.

After the Hull game, we should have a better idea of whether we have any chance of an automatic place. If we lose either of those games, I'd be rotating the squad for the final four games to give some of them a rest. Too many of them have looked knackered of late.

Seems like we've choked again alright. Looked to me as if he had got it out of them, but two pretty well must win games on the bounce and we lose both.

The record all season against teams near the bottom generally is completely inexcusable , and we deserve to pay the price for it.

Maybe we will win five out of six, LJ can get a good run going as we have seen. But there is no wiggle room now.

Tonight we had 13 corners, and I think 3 shots on target. Wigan had 3 corners and scored from two of them. Oldest story in the book, but we look deficient at both ends now.

We are nearer than I thought we could get, but it looks like the hill was too steep. Down the line though we'll be fine. A horrible night, but the direction is right now, and to me, that's the main thing.

What an absolute mess that was
Manager needs to stop messing about and get a settled spine of a team to build around.
Said at half time for me the midfield is the problem. We dont have a one
They create nothing and everytime we lose the ball the opposition just run straight through us
Been a massive fan of LJ but he has to sort this out.
Every week we have a different pairing in midfield. How the hell can you create a team around that

to be honest, i wanted to know why diamond was on the left and hume was basically restricted to left back, diamond did well mind but he has always looked dangerous on the right while hume gets some good balls into the box as wing back, never an out and out defender imho.
