Limerick 4.15- Low Lie The Fields has a decent chance of nabbing a third win on the spin for Rachael Blackmore. Won here in December and although that was on heavy ground the opposition today doesn't look the strongest. 3/1 looks a fair price

    16:45 Newmarket - Willyouorwon't He

(Modest e/w on an outsider in the last race handicap. Well, at least he's drawn well! 25/1 at time of writing)

    Few i like:

    2:30 Limerick - Fix The Bill 15/2
    3:15 Cheltenham - Jubilympics 6/1
3:25 Ripon - East Street Revue 18/1 Ew (4 Places)
    5:50 Limerick - Cool Rain 10/1

And at Newmarket i'm taking a speculative ew punt on Danni California at 40/1 in the first race

    Good luck all

I backed BEYOND AMBITIOUS in that Limerick bumper because I liked the look of the pedigree. It was 15/2 first show and now I see it is only 7/2.

Mine I thought ran well last time out and with any improvement and the yard been in reasonable form I thought it could go close. Thought double figure odds was generous and worth a little go. Confidence knocked now I know you're against me but I'm already on so too late. Best of luck with yours

Got to work and fingers crossed I'm in line for a steady day and might actually get chance to watch some of the racing today. So I've had a go at the Newmarket Placepot.

The Wood Ditton is usually a race for the notebook rather than the wallet, given that none of them have run before. The favourite Valiant Prince ticks all the right boxes in terms of pedigree and presumably Buick could have got on Ironside if he preferred. Two or three of these look like they will be better over further, including Full Moon Rising and Sir Rumi. The expensive Kingman colt Kingsofthemidlands looks the sort that could win first time over a mile before stepping up in trip.

Race conditions in the Abernant are very favourable to last year’s victor Oxted, not penalised for his July Cup win and taking on rivals rated nearly a stone inferior to him.

After Naval Crown failed to collect the Free Handicap, it is no surprise to see the bookies oppose Master Of The Seas. He is not the top rated in the race and clearly needs to show that sparkle that he had in the Superlative as a juvenile, or One Ruler could be the only Godolphin Guineas horse. Stablemate La Barrosa won his first two last term but was last in a desperate Criterium International at Saint Cloud on his final start and I think a line can be drawn through that with quick ground here. I do not think that either of the Ballydoyle contenders are serious prospects here but are in the line up so O’Brien can gauge the standard. Gimcrack winner Devilwala was fourth in the Dewhurst but I think that form is unreliable (certainly on this ground); however, he might be a good yardstick. Gimcrack third Mystery Smiles will need to have improved a fair bit over the winter. Of most interest to me is AKMAAM, an easy winner on debut but nearly five lengths fifth to One Ruler in the Autumn Stakes on soft ground, where subsequent Saint Cloud winner Van Gogh was three lengths in front as runner up. Brian Meehan’s charge looks better value to fulfil the promise of his debut win and at better value odds than the big name stables.

Not on here much but thought I'd put up one for today. I'm sure Maytal (1725) will win for Stoute at Newcastle today but will be taking an EW interest in Uraib, who makes her debut.

I thought I was going to be special picking this one! :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Finished way ahead of Wobwobwob in his 2nd last race carrying equal weights, is 4 lbs better off today. Last race finished 2nd (albeit by about 5 lengths) to Imperial Sands who did well to finish just half a length behind impressive looking Mostahdaf 2 weeks ago... And also races today in the Craven...

    He's 40/1 now and Wobwobwob is 8/1... I'll have a small bit E/W on him, and a decent bit E/W at 5 places on 365 at 28/1...

Anyone looks at the Ripon card? I can't remember a card as tricky as that to find a bet on... Or maybe it's just me...

Oh no Reebok, I've bet on Bourbon Beauty too :emoticon-0183-swear:rolleyes:

Well I can tell you the sun is shining and the weather has been dry here for the last 4 days (I'm now 5 minutes walk from the course). There's nothing like losing your money in the sun.

The Craven saw early weakness in Master Of The Seas and support for La Barrosa but both horses are stable at 3/1 and 4/1 in general this morning.

The money has been creeping on Akmaam since betting opened but although the 1-2 in his last race are top looking prospects John Gosden's Megallan looks a fairly exposed yardstick at Listed level and he was a place ahead of Akmaam in that Autumn Stakes. In addition, the race Akmaam won well on debut is 0/19 in collateral form terms since and at 8/1 now looks a bit short with the stable being very quiet in only running four horses in the last six weeks.

I have seen Imperial Sands tipped today but I don't really fancy him myself. Devilwala is the highest rated horse in the field and although he was 100/1 iwhen 4th in the Dewhurst, there is no denying that the form looks good, with recent winners Poetic Flare and Tactical in arrears of him that day.

Aidan has had a poor week and neither of his appeal to me today, they are almost certainly in the B-Team at Ballydoyle and the trainer has never landed the Craven in his career.

I gave Master Of The Seas one last chance at 3/1. He will need to settle better to win this but the hood may help. I suspect One Ruler is Godolphin's leading Guineas hope but Master Of The Seas is decent in his own right. I have also done a reverse forecast with Devilwala, as his form looks solid and the pair probably have 7 lbs to spare on form thus far.

3.35 Newmarket Master Of The Seas 3/1 and Master Of The Seas/Devilwala reverse forecast.

I'd imagine Peter the Great could be fairly useful. By New Approach out of a full-sister to Footprintsinthesand, he should get a bit further than this. The last good horse to win the Wood Ditton was Mukhadramh and before that Harbinger. As far as I know the last Classic winner to win it was Craighouse, who went on to win the Irish St Leger (when it was a 3yo classic).
    Would 12f be too far?.

If I was Balding I'd be pretty annoyed with the ride the favourite got. He was running a bit freely and de Sousa kept tugging him back. When he set him alight the fuel had been wasted.

Fine ride by William Buick on the favourite in the Craven. It didn't look like it at one time during the race, but his decision to come out from near the far fence as he thought he would not get a run proved decisive. Even then, it was tough for horse and rider. Must have an outstanding chance in the 2000 Gns. with a better run of the race, which I am sure he'll get. Gutsy display by Master Of The Seas, and an excellent ride. <applause>

Ryan Moore and Rohaan let this down in the second race. Disappointing to get so close but i'd rather it go down in the second than the last
