    The way football is going if they don't have a combined wealth of double the US National Debt then they might be lucky to get out of the Championship. I used to say that my great football wish was to see my club get to the top league at least once before I die. Now I have revised that to my club surviving as a club at least until I've died. They are slowly but surely ripping the soul out of football to the point it won't be worth watching soon.

    Totally agree with that Greeny, anybody coming up from the leagues below by getting promoted are going to have real problems staying there

    Conversely teams relegated from the Premier seem to be given a nice financial handout to help them get back up

    Yes I can understand the hand out of money if you have been in the Premier a while but surely not when you go down & straight back up

    Not sure how it works but I think the parachute payment is for 3 years, one year if you go straight back down after one season. I don't know what happens if a relegated team goes straight back up. Too complicated for me
