    Kids with contracts to 2022
    1. Gotts
    2. Hosannah
    3. Mujica
    4. McCarron
    5. Kenneh
    6. Stevens
This group of kids are on the cliff edge. Robbie Gotts had a crap loan period with Lincoln City and hardly used. He was brought back and sent to Salford where he has had plenty of game time. I know that Carlos Corberan wanted him on loan at Huddersfield and if that could still happen Bielsa would find out if he was going to make it. Salford is L2 football and Championship is a big step up but if he cant manage that step he has no chance in the Prem. I fear we have seen the last of Robbie.

Bryce Hosannah was an eye opener for me when I first got involved with the 23s. He was the fastest player in the club and a few first teamers said he was the best footballer at the club. We brought him in from Palace and he has been brilliant anywhere on the back line but especially as a RWB. He has suffered from a few injury set backs and this season we sent him out on loan to Bradford where he was man of the match every time he played. The manager said he was way ahead of anything Bradford have had for years. In November he went down with another hamstring and has now had another operation. His season is over again and maybe his career if he cant get fit and stay fit. Shame because this kid has it all, but we may never see him again in a Leeds shirt.

Rafa Mujica is being sold in June to a Spanish outfit

Liam McCarron is now 20 and could be sent out on loan or he could be sold. For those who watched last nights game he came on in the 2nd half and almost scored, he played really well and created plenty. This kid we got from Carlisle and he had played first team football, but is he going to break through? Maybe not

Nohan Kenneh will be a future Leeds Utd captain and probaly same for England. New contract please Victor.

Jordan Stevens..... what can I say. Bielsa saw something and gave him first team minutes a few times. He was a regular on the first team bench. He was loaned out to L1 Swindon but after a great start scoring on his debut and then creating 2 goals the next game, he was benched and never seen again. Manager sacked and Sheridan took over who ripped into Jordan in the media. We brought him home and sent him to L2 Bradford where he has done nothing but bench warm. Think his time is up at Leeds

I am now hearing that Bogutsz s being courted by Legia Warsaw, they want him back. Hes still only 19 and his career stalled last season for some reason. His loan spells with 2 clubs in Spain has been dire and he hasn't played since February, even though he has scored and played well enough when called upon?

We seem to have a similar problem with Leif Davies. A player we bought from Morecambe and a player Bielsa loves, but this season he hasnt been called upon for the first team and he has not featured too many times in he all conquering 23s. I have watched him and when he plays he is usually right on it, but last night Huggins again was preferred so Davies never even got on the bench. You would have thought that this season would have seen Davies demand the shirt off Alioski at LB, but no, what happened and has he blown it now?

It would be great to see some of the U23s break through, specially when you think back to Woodgate et al. Just thought the likes of those mentioned, Gelhardt, Greenwood, Summerville and Drameh would be getting minutes here or there if they were that close, particularly the two that have played 1st team championship football elsewhere. Seems an odd decision to leave a club where you’re playing in the first team to go to the the U23 at another club.

If you get to play football at 16yo for any pro team you are considered pretty good and have a big future. McCarron played once from the start of a game and quite a few off the bench. Coming to a big club with the chance of being educated by Bielsa must be a big draw. Drameh played for Fulham in the Championship a few times but felt he would never get a chance. Bielsa was the draw so it cost Orta circa £1m to get him and a 4 year contract. Im not sure Liam McCarron is going to make it although he has had some great games this season and last night he was excellent. Maybe McCarron is going to be a top Championship player, however Drameh is going to be a top Prem defender. Gelhardt again played first team usually off the bench for Bolton at 16/17yo but we were amongst a bunch of Premier League clubs chasing Joffy and Leicester thought they had got him and we know how good Leicesters scouting network is. He chose Leeds and will be a top player. Bielsa factor

Greenwood is the one to watch this Summer as he is super singleminded. Brought up at Sunderland but his ambition meant that he decided to leave and go to Arsenal as it was a Prem club and he thought Sunderland was going nowhere. He won the golden boot and scored goals for fun, but ahead of him were a couple of slightly older strikers one was Fast Eddie and Greenwood decided he wasnt going to break through quick enough or even get a chance under Arteta. So we signed him on a 3 year deal, and hes very close to Gelhardt and bith play for England as strikers too. If Greenwood feels he has no chance he will want out. The good thing is that Bielsa has had him and Joffy playing the Rodrigo role all season. Joffy started the season as a 10 and Sam is now doing it or at 8. Hopefully both will see this as learning new tricks

I suppose the way that academies now pay for themselves is sending the players like Gotts, McCallmont, Edmondson etc out on loan for two or three years and hopefully they perform well enough to demand a decent fee. Occasionally you will have a Tammy Abraham, Mason Mount, Ben White situation where these players prove they are good enough. If not then hope for a Rian Brewster situation where you know they won't make it at a parent club but you can still demand 20 million.

Maybe that's the way forward. Send McCallmont, Gotts, Greenwood, Dramah etc to the Championship next season purely to sell on at a profit later on if they shine.

What a position to be in though eh.
We got so much talent coming through.
It's hard for the Young Guns to break into the first team as of yet, as we are at the highest level. maybe if we were in the Championship a few might of got a sniff nearing the end of the season. but with so much money on offer on a finishing League position we have to go full out till the end.
Let's trust Bielsa on this. he knows the score he's probably got every stat of each player in his office with all the video's and waded through every piece of detail.

As on the first team I honestly don't see many leaving (2nd best wage bill in the Prem) We aren't in any rush to throw people out. Obviously there will be a few and i think we all know who they are. I'm expecting a lot more loaned out when we build the squad further.
Davis,Shacks,Poveda all need 1st team football now loaning them to the championship will do them a world of good. they need week in week out football get 30-40 games into them see if they can sink or swim.
As well as some of the U23's could also follow route down the divisions.
As on the players out on loan I see none of them getting in next season's squad. A couple getting a few reviews but its all lower level stuff. McCalmont deserves another bash out on loan though but at a higher level. He seems the only player making real positive strides but he's playing in a poor Oldham side.

Going to be very interesting in seeing what Bielsa does.
This is what we were dreaming about a few years ago. now it's actually happening everything is positive and we are climbing that ladder.
Let's enjoy it while that giant is awakening once again.

I'm hoping Barnsley win the playoffs though.

Norwich made it up yesterday, Watford looking good for 2nd and Bournemouth looking secure in the playoffs. Have all 3 relegated sides ever all been promoted straight away the following season?

I've no clue DownSouth. I can't stand any other sides in Yorkshire, mainly because of the abuse they give out. Karma is a wonderful thing. It only seems like yesterday that certain teams were giving it the big bollocks and saying we weren't the no one in Yorkshire. WELL WE ARE NOW<party>

That could happen but notice the number of clubs who have been in the Prem sucking on the parachute payment teat, who are still in the crap. Boro invested in Warnock how ironic if Woody took Bournemouth up. Cardiff invested in Big Mick but since he got his contract they stagnated. Derby cheated and in trouble, QPR, Reading, Swansea, Stoke, Blackburn, Huddersfield, Birmingham, Wednesday. Over half of the Championship teams have Premier League experience.

Fulham, WBA and Sheff Utd will drop this season so another 3 teams added into the Championship former Prem club mix. Getting out of this league is almost impossible without breaking the bank or having parachute payments or cheating as Villa did

Will Norwich actually invest this time or be just happy to get relegated again for the parachute money? They were promoted last time and did nothing and came straight back down.?Chris Houghton got them promoted twice for them to do nothing in the transfer market and then they sack a manager after tying his hands behind his back

Coming back up with a nice pts tally, already on 90 with 4 games to go. Think it's a mixture of a weird season with no fans, lack of pre season and they kept the majority of their squad together. The 3 that came up from League 1 are all in the bottom 6 (2 of the 3 probably going down). Obviously same situation in the PL with Fulham and WBA going down.
