Putting the massive aside.... thats really not good news... I know there have been people within squads that have had it, but this sounds the most serious of all the reports over an extended period aside..
I gravitated there today Nice few pints of Brooklyn outside Butler & Whites I had a look round for the type of people you mention, but couldn’t see any?...
Princess Ave was apparently rammed last night, those pubs not able or wiling to open are really missing out, i left it to late to book into Linnet for tonight and walk ups for Pave tonight will be horrendous, with 50% pubs shut and those open only able to use outside space there's not actually that much available capacity for busy weekends, theres a court case coming up on Monday by Sacha Lord trying to force the Government to let Hospitality open indoors straight away, afterall it would make more common sense having people spread about in numerous pubs than all squeezed in like sardines in a few ?
Went into town this morning and it is one of the busiest I've ever seen . Had a breakfast outside Ponto then walked around to Marina which was really full . Great to see !
Buggers told me last night they were fully booked...o well back home now n duly smashed, i ended up in Priory, was a tad cold though.
I asked on FB messenger to book for yesterday after noon and thats when they told me that its walk in now due to no shows, they have had some grief on their facebook page as everyone has to use the track and trace now and its not just write down your name and number anymore , stopped a few going Yeah the evening chill is a bit of a pain ... still nice to have a freshly pulled pint thought again
5000 at a gig in Liverpool with no social distancing as a test run. Can't wait for live music again. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-56789454
A few pubs are quite rightly getting grief for the track n trace, pen n paper sign in is absolutely fine under gov regulations but some pubs are limiting it to using the app which obviously discriminates against those who don't have a smart phone, there was a pub got outed on social media for turning away a 70 plus year old fella which is ridiculous.
Yep that's my big thing i'am waiting for, think Service Station may well be the first place to get up n running albeit with acoustic music which i don't mind tbh.
Track and trace is a mess. Pen n paper sign in is no good when half the people in the pub call themselves Mickey Mouse and no-one's checking. Equally, app use is discriminatory for the reason you stated. Singapore rolled out little bluetooth tokens which do the same as the app but you don't need a smart device. Why couldn't Dildo have done that?
Would have eaten into her profits too much. I was in (well outside) Butler & Whites and only one of a group of 4 could get our phones to work with their QR code anyway
I think pen and paper is possibly more reliable than the QR code, which I’ve seen several people wave their phones at, without scanning anything.
My Granddaughter is a Southampton supporter and is the girl in the white coat. We are getting there....
So how many teachers died as a direct result of sending the children back to school?? The unions claimed that the the teachers were been used as lab rats & been given a “death sentence” They look rather silly with the idiotic stance
Exclusive: Only 32 people hospitalised with Covid after having vaccination (telegraph.co.uk) Covid jab breakthrough! Data shows just 32 in hospital with virus after vaccine dose (msn.com) Great news re the vaccines and how they are affecting things , breaking the link I believe the phrase is between cases and hospital admissions and deaths
India has reported more than 300,000 new #coronavirus cases in a 24-hour period - the biggest one-day total seen anywhere in the world since the pandemic began.
