We were well and truly beaten yesterday by a good Blackpool side who were organised, but also had the quality to turn it on when they needed to. That doesn't mean to say we didn't help them out though for the first two goals as we certainly did. God knows what was running through O'Keefe's head for the first goal, giving a very in form Gerry Yates a one on one on a silver platter.

Second goal I've seen people whinging about not being a foul but frankly I couldn't care less as you can't be that bad at defending a set piece. Jackson losing his man and O'Connor being slow to react was quite frankly only going to end one way when you're playing an in form side like Blackpool. Third wasn't great either down our right hand side again and the fourth was very much down to throwing too many people forwards.

So we're now 9th after 40 games on 58 points and four points off play offs. Blackpool in 5th on 63 points still have three games in hand on us. 6th place Lincoln who are in poor form also have a game in hand over us on 62 points. You then move to Charlton & Ipswich directly above us on 59 points so one point more but crucially two games advantage. Doncaster who were also out of form & a up and down Accrington directly below us with one point less still have two games in hand over us also. With all of these teams with extra games you would expect at least one to start taking advantage so have we left the task too big for play-offs this season? The games against Northampton, AFC Wimbledon and second Rochdale games, matches we should have won comfortably but didn't turn up enough could well be the games we rue as could have been this season.

So I ask, after that loss, is that the end of the dream for Play-offs this season?

It's been a good season, certainly since the January window. I think our hopes of play-offs have now gone, but that does not mean we should take our foot off the gas as 'fortune favours the bold.'

While the mathematically chance remains we should look at the next game with excitement. Shrewsbury up next, so let's go for it, afterall we all remember the infamous 7-0 defeat that led us to the treasure of gold.

    'They think it's all over'....

It was never a corner ! As for the 0-7.... We actually were quite brilliant at the start, and should have been 2-0 up - before we imploded.
I'm still annoyed that I was 29th in the queue for tickets for Wembley -- and, although I paid top price for the most expensive seats - they were hardly in the best vantage point of the ground...... and I'm still wondering why the guy in a seat very close to me made absolutely no reaction when Jackson scored the goal.
