I jest, but if they could get away with it, I reckon this is just the sort of thing the corporates and and the advertisers would jump at.

The new fan interaction in a post covid world, you no longer need to go to the actual game. Instead, influence the game like never before from the comfort of your sofa. The TV execs would love it.

I agree but I think we all know that won’t happen. Thus a compromise is the only solution that I think will be on the table.

Only took a decade or so for everyone else to realise, eh?

Good to not have 'they are great owners' forced down our throats by people who haven't got a ****ing scooby anymore.

It's fine mate, I'll stay as I am!

At least though Ashley hasn't burdened you lot with half a billion of debt and stolen the same amount for himself while he's at it.

Potentially there is. I think football in England could survive without the contribution of European super powers like, er...Spurs and Arsenal.

Football without the Big 6? **** em tbh. Bit hard on those clubs genuine supporters, but I’d get over that if it meant laughing as the likes of Chelsea and City get flushed down the gold plated ****ter of history because of their own greed. Not that any other club’s owners would behave any better given the chance, but still..,

The money men care...don’t shoot the messenger.

As much as you all want to rekindle the past glories of teams like Forest and Villa since yesterday who haven’t done **** in decades and decades and haven’t really been mainstays in the top flight for about 2/3rds of your life...the money men don’t give a ****.

    That’s who calling the shots.

Bruv, you’re one of them who have enjoyed money bag teams like City/Chelsea dominating over teams who have tried a bit more of an organic approach to finding domestic success like Spurs/Everton over the last few decades. This what you’re seeing is the next natural stage for these same people in developing their brand. They don’t care about the English audience when they believe they can get a global audience.

You’re all to blame in a way...kept quiet and cheered them on whilst they looting the silverware and you enjoyed the bantz knowing full well your own club can’t even challenge...ever.

Now it’s slapped you all on the arse and you’re all spitting feathers.

One thing this has done (or should have done) is show us toon fans that Ashley is far from the worst owner in English football. If football didn't have a trickle down philosophy we should have known that earlier by looking at Bury, Macclesfield, Blackppol, etc. However, when you're too busy holding your bucket and looking up for the next drop of hope from above you forget to look down and notice who you are standing on while holding that bucket.

We just get caught up with hating him because he feels worse than the worst owner because of his apathy. This week's events show their are worse things than apathy out there though.

we are a super power when it comes to money...you need to learn quick sharp that this super league isn’t about who’s won what...it’s about who are the teams with the biggest global potential.

until you accept the criteria you’ll carry on crying about why Spurs are part of it...it’s like youve all accepted why the others have been invited but can’t understand why Spurs have.

    This is about MONEY

The majority of money men will go with you if it happens which is my point. I think it would be good for the game here.

Pretty sure you've made that last bit up about me enjoying those clubs dominating.

You're fighting a losing battle mate. Everyone is too thick to realise that clubs like Villa and Forest don't have debts anywhere near big enough to get into that league.

it’s not made up...I cba to find the posts but I’m sure you’ve enjoyed them sweeping everything up at the expense of the clubs a level below them financially...you’ll be laughing your cock off on Sunday if/when we lose to City.

I’ve never heard any of you say...not accepting it...they bought it with filthy riches that are ruining the game...I’ve seen everyone on here enjoying it because it’s been at the expense of teams that are actually trying to challenge within the limits, however them teams haven’t been your team so of course you’ve all enjoyed it. Now that same monster has actually threatened to bite all your heads off and you’re all in tatters about it...should be too tbh.

2016 everyone supported Lesta because they the little underdogs
2017 everyone supported Chelsea because they were up against Spurs

the bantz was great but now it’s a darker, bigger bantz monster and you’re all crying out for the ****ing past glories of Nottingham forest to console your souls.

You all earned this by giving them foreign monsters a home here.

if that’s what makes you feel better about it then that’s fine...no one cares about that debt...all that money will see to it. This is not my idea but I’m not one of these people that start to change facts just to suit my argument. You got to face the demon head on...but hey so long as you feel better about this in debt/debt free thing. Clubs like Madrid have been in debt for decades...who has given a ****? They’ve steeped up everything in their path...but your sat in Newcastle crying about their debt.

No one cares about debt...but that’s your only moral high ground to cling onto so I don’t blame you for holding on to it with dear life.

btw I’m against it too but I got no time for the majority of fans of the clubs left behind because all of a sudden they think that debt is important anymore. It’s all part of big business model.

on the one hand all of you want some dodgy bastard sheik to buy out Ashley, yet here you are crying debts and money monsters.

If anything yesterday’s news has just highlighted all yours hypocrisy because now it’s come to your doorstep where your club feels as though no matter what it achieves it can never quite sit at the very top table.

you created this monster aswell..well done.

I know it’s about money. I think they’ve got it wrong this time. This looks to me like a catastrophically bad business decision.

The PL took a slice of working class culture, sanitised it, packaged it, and made a fortune selling the “product” around the world. But if the product gets too far away from it’s roots it’s a fair bet the product will die while the roots will sprout anew.

Go to a game in the Championship mate. League One even. All those clubs might be struggling financially, but you’ll be surprised at the passion on display. Take away the money and the game goes on. Take away the passion and the “product” dies.

Of course, I could be talking a load of old “Jumpers for Goalposts” bollocks. We’ll see.

Probs be happy to see you win tbh as it will make the city quadruple talk funnier. Hardly been a huge fan of Pep have I?

I've not mentioned Forest once ya lunatic. You're just going on one cos some people don't think Spurs should be in it.

It actually wasn't meant as a dig at Spurs but a dig at the whole thing about money in football. We are ALL part of that financial model, not just the clubs that have joined up to the super league. The whole financial model of football is a house of cards. You're right that the criteria for selecting clubs has been about perceived value and income and not about quality of football. However, a large part of the value of these clubs is based on the value of the brand image and the expected annual income that comes from that. This whole episode shows how fragile that model is. Whether it be for the remaining Premier League teams who may see their income bubble burst now the top 6 have gone, or potentially for the big 6 who may find that their gamble might fail if fans don't follow them to the TV subscriptions. The only real thing about football finances is the debt and we are ALL guilty of buying into that model.

And btw, as I have said for the entirity of the last 12 months or so on our own board - I am not keen on being bought by a dodgy sheik!
