The rich 6 football clubs of England have voted to join the new super? league. Relegation might just be the least of our worries with the already rich 6 clubs now taking even more money out of the pot.

The views of the ordinary football fans have as usual been ignored so I really hope that the clubs that have voted to join this league will find their fans walking away from them and getting behind the clubs big or small that want to preserve the integrity of English football.

As I Understand what was said on MOD last these clubs players will no longer be able to play for the national teams. I received an E Mail a few years ago saying RIP Common sense died today it obviously wasn't just a rumour

I reckon we should start our own breakaway league, the ESL aka Especially ****e League, based on the current season!

Personally (and some may view this as being a somewhat naive) I would say let the 12 clubs bugger off to their Super League - they should be expelled from The Premiership, barred from entering the FA Cup, Carabao Cup and Champions League, UEFA Cup etc, and any players associated with these clubs will not be permitted to take part in the World Cup or European Championships etc. They are showing total contempt for the other clubs, all football fans, all in the pursuit of more riches. We promote the top 6 teams in The Championship to make up the numbers in The Premiership, do likewise down through the leagues until all places are filled. Supporters of this European Super League will soon get fed up of paying through the nose every week to watch overpaid egotistical footballers prancing about or falling over every time they get touched, and leave the rest of us to follow and enjoy 'proper' football!

The Americans don't reckon much to the no jeopardy leagues they have over there. Promotion and relegation and proper knock out competitions are what make our system worth following.

Yes it's an absolute nonsense and needs to be stopped before it causes real damage to our game. If a closed shop is imposed at the top of football that means that clubs can never rise up through the leagues and aspire to be the best - that's the antithesis of what competition should be. It doesn't matter how much money you throw at this closed shop, it will end up being predictable and boring - the same big teams playing each other every single year - no possibility of a smaller club coming along and causing a shock/upset. Dull dull dull.

Boycott the ESL, boycott any platform facilitating it (Sky, BT etc) and chuck the English clubs out of the Premier League for next season. That will focus their minds.

According to the Daily Telegraph they reckon that they could be thrown out this Friday, good to see that the major German teams along with PSG and Porto have distanced themselves from this Super league. The teams involved have already started to prepare a court case to stop them from being kicked out and some supporters of the clubs say if it goes ahead they will never watch them again, and supporters using their feet to confirm their objections will probably be the best method.

Personally I would like the 14 premier clubs to join with the rest of the league and resign on mass from the EFL and start a new version of the EFL up promoting without relegation being involved 6 teams to replace the unwanted greedy mob and cancelling all relegation and bringing the required number of teams from the National league to make up the shortfall with promotions from below to balance the leagues out.

I believe if this was to happen then Sky and all other broadcasters would soon want to renegotiate the current deals cutting out the 6 who are trying to bleed football dry through their greed

I feel sorry for the players and managers. They only found out when we did. They don't want this either. And threats from FIFA and UEFA to ban players from international football is not fair. The players at these clubs didn't choose the super league and are only associated to it by being employed by the bastards at the top who made the decision. Punishing the players is too much.

I wouldn't even kick out the clubs from the Prem either as its the fans who will be punished and the fans are obviously dead against the super league.

The punishments should be aimed towards the people at the top. Make them sell up. Give them massive fines. Force them to pay for community projects and ban them from the Champions League and Europa League for 3 years. Give them a points deduction for this season and all start on minus 30 next season, so they have to take the league seriously for a change.
