I enjoyed the game yesterday but it was an example of everyone wrong with our side.

that game should have been 3 or 4 goals for us.

    a) we only could run for 45mins. Our fitness has been in the toilet all year imo. No excuse for it. Mane, and firmino stopped running and jogged about latter leeds have all the ball after HT. jota ran himself int othe ground. Milner played for 60mins and stay on as he was willing to work. wijnaldum and thiago slowed right up. trent didn't corss the half way line after ht ffs.

    b) we are again profligate. I mean some of he stuff was just rubbish in front of goal. If we had a torres, own or fowler this season or god forbid a suarez we would be challenging city irrespective of the other issues.

We hammered leeds 1-0 in the first half. made zero of it bar the lead and then came out and never started the second half. We are seriously seriously undercooked this season and i am quite disappointed in it

Gini had 15 passes all game ... a midfielder who played 90 mins ...

Klopp giving Bobby, Milner and Gini 90 mins ... says it all.

Never thought I'd ever type these words - we missed Phillips in defence. Did we win a single defensive header?

I thought we dealt with pretty much everything in the air bar the corner ... Leeds worked through us a couple of times.

But ultimately, the attackers didn't finish their chances and the midfield had no control.

I don't remember us winning any defensive headers. As you say our weak spot is our conversion rate.

Referring more to his pace and effort. Just strikes me as someone who will never suit our style

Lol I thought Thiago was the best out of our midfield and by some distance. Won the ball back the most times and created chances.

Gini and Milner were the ones who let us down in midfield

I suspect my impression of Kabaks defensive aerial ability may have been right .

I did some more digging! He's won around 60% of duels since joining! Significantly lower than the 70% he was winning prior to joining!

I bow down to you, Sir ...

    We trust them.

I have been talking about trust for weeks.

they did what they did and frnakly they were all "good" first half. the all worked hard.

It was clear firmino was out on his arse after 50mins. Absolutely gone. Mane was as well but really wans't interested in even hiding it. bobby tried a little.

Milner was EVERYWHERE firs thalf, he absolutely gave everything. your bias is well known here so i shall ignore it but milners work was massive in what we did first half and he kept going long after others dropped.

Wijnaldum is a klopp favorite. My wife is sick of me saying no dont give it to him it'll end up with the keeper when he gets it high on the left side. he is what he is. name ONE player klopp had you'd trust over him. (don't dare say keita)

Nobody seems to be critising trent at all. Nice game, did well but stopped attacking at half time. sat back and minded himself. he's 22. if he's not fit now to run for 90 he has a serious issue.

robertson with respect to him is a great lad and was well fit enough to run all game and did it but hasn't the talent of treant little toe. he ****ed up an easy goal chance to prove it but if we had 11 as fti as robbo we would be second today imo.

Salah game on for 30 mins and barely ran and scuffed another chance weide and also failed ot make anything off a really dangerous interecption. Not good enough. 30mins he shouldh ave ran about and lead the line.

    ox barely registered.

We were gone alds. total;y gone on 55 mins. ran out. that imo alone with very wasteful forwards are our two main issues, not the lack of a cb

Our fitness guru has a lot to answer for this season imo.

And I agree - Ive now. given up on the thought that Klopp could evolve this midfield with creative, goal scoring midfielders. This system is a 433 and suits the hard working, simple passers, tough tacklers. That's why we should just sell Naby, Ox, Thiago and even Jones - because this suit will never suit them. instead, we need to buy players who are similar to Gini, Hendo and Milner. Don't need to worry about creativity, they just need to cover ground and harass the opposition. As you say, Klopp trusts certain players.

Milner wasn't great - he was slow to everything. Put in a shift, but so so slow. Gini did some nice but again, passed the ball 15 times. No doubt they put in a shift but they clearly needed to be subbed during the second half. They were knackered.

Robbo's attacking output has really suffered. Trent was good I felt.

Salah should have won it prior to them scoring

he had 2 chances, when when through and dragged it wide and then the other when keeper kicked it right after him and he just cut inside and hit it at the defender.

Tbf Jota prob had the best chance from the free header 6 yards out

True, but it was definitely Bobby's and Mane's fault we didn't win ;)

the facts are guys that we dominated leeds for 45 mins and all 11 players played a part in that. they could not get out at all.

in the second half the press was non existent and leeds could way up the pitch. now every player is culpable for the system as one bums out they all suffer.

Jota was wokring a bit but not as effectively and mane and firmino were doing nothing.

the 3rd midfielder was not joining them and the full backs dropped right off.

we basically had about 30% of the ball in the second half.

some players ran themselves into the ground some did not (IMO)

what is for SURE is that the press was gone.

you can pick your own targets and blame whomever

We played well enough to win but missed a shed load of chances and got tired out.

We didnt deserve any more. Should have scored 5. Didnt therefore got all we deserved.

    Now need 6 wins lol
