If they agreed to all wear them fur the next round if fixtures as a one off to show solidarity it would be more understandable. To wear them against those six for three test of the session is needlessly dragging the issue on for longer than necessary (although we certainly shouldn't just brush it under the carpet either)
Not sure what you're getting at tbh. Everyone bar Jimmy was against ESL, and I've not seen anyone supporting the new CL proposal (bar Jimmy) either.
Found it funny that Leeds were the first to wear the t-shirt but didn't;t they try to breakaway from the football league and negotiate their own tv deal? ... https://www.leeds-live.co.uk/sport/leeds-united/championship-efl-breakaway-leeds-radrizzani-15431720
Lol I was never fully in favour of ESL nor am I supporting the new CL proposal. I just find the hypocrisy astounding.
Why wouldn't we? Because the rules allow it? Well the ESL rules also said we would be given a spot so is that wrong? Like I said before, everyone was up in arms and developed a conscience all of a sudden but is turning a blind to unfair competitive nature and corruption that already exists.
Ha it's all good. I'm trying to play devil's advocate more than anything. Because we had so much anti super league coverage all over the media but everyone is so blinded by one set of greedy c*nts and forgetting the root cause of this whole thing. The organisations who allowed it to get this far.
UEFA is set to be hit with a concerted campaign to drop its plan for two Champions League places awarded on the basis of historical performances in Europe. (The Times)
Didn't miss it. you said that Liverpool wouldn't give up an undeserved place because we are allowed it because of the rules. Found it a little hypocritical given you're against teams having a place at the big table without earning it ...
I'm guessing the hypocrisy comments were aimed at the likes of Leeds considering that link you posted? Or other club owners calling it a disgrace when they'd have signed up too if given the chance? I think most fans are against unfair advantages
It initially was holding the UEFA to ransom for getting more out of the CL and then went on to try killing the rearranged CL to get even more money. It was a definite and hugely funded project that was fortunately derailed.
It was for real although they used the negotiations to hide their secret project. Hence the anger of UEFA who thought they had been negotiating in good faith. The dirty 12 had no intention to carry on with UEFA. They put their threat into action and they failed. That’s it.
I am against it, hence me saying I have a issue with the rules. I'm also against coefficient ratings giving the bigger teams an advantage or FFP only protecting the already rich but those things exist and we (LFC) get on with it because the rules are there for EVERYONE to follow. I don't like people sitting in their arse claiming benefits but my issue isn't with those people, my issue is with the government for allowing it to happen!
oh not that its just everyone jumping on the bandwagon particularly , politicians and fans , of other clubs making out their clubs are angels when basically all PL clubs are businesses looking after number one . Now i'm wholeheartedly against this plan for 2 basic reasons A) damage to the wider English football community B) The closed shop nature of the ESL and the almost inevitable world league it would morph into . but football sold its soul for money years ago and the PL was formed by similar tactics the CL was formed to stave off the original ESL etc so large numbers of clubs have been complicit in the past with this sort of behaviour and to pretend otherwise is ridiculous.
It was the most misguided and fundamentally flawed attempt to literally take over the game that we’ve ever seen. I mean the actual product they were proposing lacked actual genuine competition ffs, the absolute base point of football itself. It was nothing but a glorified pre season tournament that they thought the World was going drop it’s kecks for. Part of me wishes they’d succeeded as I’d have loved to have watched it slowly die on its arse, and them come crawling back, but it’s complete collapse within 48 hours has been truly astounding, and equally wonderful to watch. It’s a complete and utter humiliation, brought about by a truly hideous piece of subversive plotting around a plan that had more holes than a Swiss cheese.
