At the moment, we can't beat a ****in' egg! Only saving grace is the other sides in the play offs are ****e too.
You'r right Its interesting LJ says he likes to pick a team depending on our players ability and the opposition. But I'm now not convinced. I think he has a picture in his head of some fantasy team of class players with two in midfield and all the other players interchanging around them But our players aren't good enough for that. The are OK but have limited ability, little pace and apart from a couple create little. Its obvious that 3 in midfield works best with this lot. Every time we play it we control games But the next game he changes back to this stretched open formation that allows the opposition to get at us. He needs to get real. At the minute we are going around in circles because of his insistence in doing what HE wants rather than what works.
What a surprise to see you pop your whinging face up. No sign of you when we were two up but as soon as it goes a bit wrong, you show up like a fly round ****.
This actually cheered me up. I know we are all pissed off mate but seriously. Have you tried the Samaritans.
Even before today's game he was still insisting 4 at the back was our best fit. We look much better with 3 at the back, Leads anchoring the midfield, with plenty of athletes around him.
I have plenty of time for Johnson, but he has to use these last few games to find his best team and stick with them, we desperately need momentum going into the play-offs....I really don't fancy playing Oxford who looks like they have found some form at the right time.
I've had a really bad two days. Was hoping the match thread would cheer me up. I best Google their number
I'd like him to look at next season in his remaining games (regardless of what league we are in). If Patterson is going to be no 2 then get him on the bench. If Maguire is away then put Dan Neil on the bench, Hawkes is banging them in for the rezzies, give him 10-20mins off the bench etc.
That's a massive over reaction. The club is not dead. In fact, it's about to rise like a phoenix from the flames, but that will be down to the owner, not the players we currently have at the club. Next season will be exciting no matter what division we are in. We just have to endure the next 5-6 games, then things will start to change.
What radical changes did Johnson make today like? I'm looking at that line up and I'm not seeing changes made with no ryhme or reason tbh. I'm seeing a defence with 2 midfielders in it as no-one else is fit and everyone else playing in their normal positions. I actually think the reason we've hit a patchy run of form is because we can't rotate the defence and give anyone a rest, O'Nien especially. He's looked off the pace recently and apart form playing Younger I can't see what option he's got tbh. Good first half performance, poor second. Should have had that game buried by half time in all honesty and I'm not sure the gaffer gets the blame for that.
Fook that, am not having plastic knives an forks and velcro shoes ffs. Leave me be at "depressed" man
Give it another three games he will still be chopping and changing to accommodate a back four with no full backs a poor excuse for a mid-field and a one trick donkey up front, other than that bring it on.
I’m trying to remember that this isn’t Johnson’s squad, he’s inherited these knackers...however... The constant rotating of players and formation is just stupid. Also playing people out of position always catches up eventually and he should have done something about that weeks ago. Younger should be starting as he’s a natural centre half. Power should be in midfield as he is infinitely better than Scowen. O’Nien should be right back as that’s arguably his best position.
We controlled the Hull game with three in midfield. He reverted to a two today and we were wide open. I think he likes to play with a stretched team but I dont think our players are good enough For me he could play with a 3 in the middle band still have his wide men counter attacking.
