It’s disappointing the way we have fell apart this last month but calling for another managerial sacking is out of order, this club has went through a terrible time in its history with the owners and managers we have had and I believe we are not out of it yet but we can see the light at the end of the tunnel. We have had a great takeover but we can’t expect it to go swimmingly from day one there will be set backs and the last month is one of these, hopefully not many more to come. Let’s just get behind all the team including the manager and win these playoffs, I’m still hopeful of promotion

Yep that way we might be able to grind out 3-3 draws with the likes of Accrington Stanley.

Not many words to describe it.

Bottle jobs. Loads of them too weak to hand the pressure. 3 points out of last 18 is unacceptable. 95% of them shouldn't be offered any deal.

In my opinion Johnson is not the manager to take us forward. He has managed over 400 games with a win ratio of 39%. If we keep him, he will begone by October.

First, let’s see what the play offs bring.
Second, give him a chance with his own players.
    Third, there is no third.

He’s proving himself to be a liability and isn’t handling his first bit of pressure well at all. Well out of his depth.

I second that, 3 seasons in a row we’ve had the same group of main players we just need to move on from, they’ll never get us promoted and thats just unfortunate facts

Roughly the same as Peter Reid then, who had an overall win rate of 41% and 45% during his time at Sunderland. The key thing to remember is that the result of football matches is also down to the players. The manager can only do so much. Imagine Chris Wilder suddenly became Man City manager and Pep went to Sheffield Utd. Who's going to win when they play each other? Its still going to be Man City, isn't it?
Johnson has, undeniably, improved us. We got much closer to automatic promotion than any of us thought we would under Parkinson. Yet people still want him out. I don't understand it. Any side can have a poor run of results.

    Better than a 1-3 loss.

Younger and Almond are both fit.

All except Willis and Arbie could be back for the playoffs.

Exactly, I’d rather play Younger or Almond at centre half than someone who doesn’t naturally play there.

You're one of the weakest supporters of any club I've ever encountered. Grow a bit of backbone man, setbacks are part and parcel of football and you really need to learn how to handle them better rather than be a stroppy drama queen. I've known 4 year olds with more resolve than you.

First post in three months and still playing the same record. No surprise you and @Wolfy have got big love for each other.

He could be right but we won’t know until October but by then I think we will be so far ahead we won’t ever hear Is silent ever again.

Strange thing is that these defensive issues have been what’s derailed our season IMO. Can’t remember the last time we had more than 3 fit defenders!! (I don’t include McFadzean in that as he’s no more a defender than I am president of the USA)

not many Liverpool fans calling for Klopp to be sacked. They all seem to think their issues are because of the raft of defensive injuries! Even though they’ve had more fit defenders this season than SAFC!

I don’t even think we’d be in the play offs if he was still here!!

Can we blame it on lack of defenders? Up until about 3 weeks ago we had went something like 15 games unbeaten with these makeshift defence. It seems to me it has went tits up to me since they announced Diamond had been given a new contract.
Now I do not know what is going on in the background but I could understand if other players then piped up "what is happening with us then".
As somebody stated on another post somewhere the only hope they have got of getting another contract is winning promotion so I really really hope we are having a bad run but can recover it in the play offs.
Maybe the players know they can do it just want another Wembley appearance on their CV's 1st<whistle><whistle>.
