Football people are always going to play Kane half fit or not irt's the same reason they stick with an out of form Son. once you prove your worth they will always hope they will bale you out. I don't agree with it I wouldn't pick Kane or Son but football always stick to the top guys. They all must think they are immortal.
Son was crying at full time ...and here come the aggressive weirdos known as Man Utd fans, surprisingly not racially abusing him this week
How bad has Reguilon been lately? Looked bright when he first joined but he’s another that could easily end up being a waste of money. Real Madrid won’t be exercising their buy back clause at this rate
Massive gulf between the teams , Son couldn't string 2 passes together and the city defence were never bothered by use pumping the odd ball into the area , Reggie has looked **** since his injury , kane didn't get a sniff Toby and Dier looked a vast improvement on previous weeks, Bale and Dele didn't touch the ball did they, Sissoko was once again bossed for their goal ,all niall a typical Below par Spurs performance but honestly I didn't expect any more and can't wait to see the end of this season
I was praying for City’s ‘keeper to make a blunder in the last minute. I’m sure Martin Tyler would have some pre-rehearsed line about Steffen being a freund to Spurs
Hugo and Toby certainly deserved better than to have their efforts undone by the Aurier & Sissoko comedy double act And I know it's the tiniest crumb of comfort to cling onto, but after seeing them leave it all on the pitch today, there is an obvious question that needs asking: does anyone remember either of them doing the same thing for the ubermensch in the last 3-4 months? If we get a few more players following that lead for the remainder of the season, Mason will have done his job
1. We weren't humiliated score wise. 2. Levy out 3. Mason did the best he could...it's his 2nd match and was against the best team in England. 4. We have screwed up big time on and off the pitch in the past 3 years and the chickens have well and truly come home to roost. I went out for a walk and looked up the score at full time. If someone like me feels this far away from the club and the team they have serious issues. 5. Get rid of Levy. 6. Lo Celso, Ndombele, Dele, Toby, Sissoko, Dier, Aurier Davies and Doherty need to be sold but probably won't be cos we'll ask for more than what they are worth. 7. Levy must be held accountable for the mess we are in after 18 months of JM...that means sacking him. 8. Bale needs to not be kept on after the loan. 9. Levy has humiliated the club off the pitch with the furlough threat and the ESL...and on it by the moronic decision to employ JM which has led the the most predictable of outcomes...what more does he need to be he is ditch? 10. Am genuinely considering not renewing my membership...the ESL on top of the furlough issue and and 18 months of turgid appalling football has made me feel so disconnected from spurs. 11. Feck off Levy 12. Only this place keeps me interested tbh
Mason did the best he could? I don’t wanna hate on him too much but he got everything wrong and I mean everything. For as much flack as we all (rightfully) gave Jose, I don’t think even he would’ve made the stupid decisions Mason did today. Shown he was severely out of his depth.
That's why I think he did the best he could...second game as a manager and is severely out of his depth. Levy takes the blame...he sacked JM 6 days ago cos he wanted to distract from HIS stupidity in signing up to the ESL. JM should NEVER have been employed but once he was it was obvious after the West Ham game at their place that he should be sacked and someone like redknapp be brought in til the end of the season. Putting Mason in for this was and is a joke.
So to sum up this evening's Narratives, Ndombele would've won us the match if he started as if he hasn't been getting slated for weeks, and the ubermensch would've ground out a win even though we got humped 3-0 by the same team back in February Good to know our fanbase aren't fickle and have a habit of latching onto any half-baked idea
But that’s not doing the best he could. The best he could would’ve been to play a more logical XI. The best he could would’ve been not to take off Lucas who was the only player trying to make something happen. If bringing on Sissoko is also the best he could do then I’d hate to see him at his worst. Love Mason, he’s one of us but he was dreadful today just like the players, nowhere near his best. 2nd or 200th game, his decisions today were downright awful.
Fair enough...maybe I am being generous to him cos I expected a way worse result and I like how he comes across...like I said ... feel so distant to the club that has been a big part of my and my girls life for 47 years. Sounds pretty pathetic but it's genuinely a big thing for me to give up being a member
The issue today can ultimately be summed up with this tweet ...because this tweet is far too generous, as the fact is we didn't produce enough 6s or 7s Hugo, Toby and Dier can all say they were worth at least 8/10 today Lucas was probably worth 7/10, but looked more like a 8/10 by Bale's nonformance when he came on After that, though? How many players even qualified for 5/10? Arguments could be made for Hojbjerg, Lo Celso and Kane as they were trying to get us going, and Lo Celso did have that golden chance that Steffen got to, but after that it's impossible to say anyone else on the pitch was even average
I think everyone’s feeling like that. In the back of my head I keep telling myself to **** the season ticket off. I’ve lived through poor football before but this is different. Club feels like it’s dying, especially after recent events. Zero connect with it these days. May give it one more season then I’ll probably chuck it in unless something drastic happens.
City have literally spent more than twice as much money on their squad as we have so it's hardly surprising that we are worse than them. At least Mason tried something unexpected on going 433 with the forwards narrow. Every match I watch, Spurs or not, I get irritated by the way the Laws of the Game mean that sides benefit from cheating. Laporte would probably not have committed the second foul had he got the yellow card for the first, but that's irrelevant. We were deprived of two attacking opportunities and there is effectively no punishment at all. If anything some other team will benefit from Laporte being suspended. We need sinbins or some other solution so that these fouls are too risky to commit.
There was a massive gulf in class, which we knew already, but we could still have won if we applied ourselves correctly. I thought Hugo, Toby and Lucas were our best performers, the rest of them were poor. Son was awful, every pass he tried was a bad one, Kane showed some flashes but we could not get the ball to him often enough, Winks and Hojberg were totally outclassed and Lo Celso was quiet apart from a decent shot. Reguilon was poor again and his confidence (like so many others) has been shot by Mourinho, Aurier gave away another stupid free kick from which they scored and Dier gift wrapped City their best chance first half. The moment Sissoko was brought on to try and provide Aurier with some help after Bale was introduced, I new we would lose, and true to form Sissoko lost his man on the set piece from which they scored. Oh, and it would have been nice if the referee had done his job properly and booked Laporte for his first cynical tackle, as it may have stopped him making the second tackle or would have seen him sent off. All in all we defended quite well for large parts against the Abu Dhabi backed PL champions, and predictably it was two of our poorest players in Aurier and Sissoko who combined to cost us the match. I swear if I see any of Aurier, Sissoko, Doherty or Sanchez lining up for Spurs next season I will not be spending another penny on the club until they are replaced with better.
