I cant believe how pear shaped this season has gone since that Peterborough game. We're now in the situation where we are hoping the Human tooth pick aka Flanagan can come back from injury to save us. FML who'd be a Sunderland fan .
What a lovely lad, I would love to see him back here next season in the championship if it suited all concerned, I know it would suit me.
I hope he’s back with us next season but if not good luck to him. He’s been fantastic for us and easily a level above, Premier League qua with a little more experience.
That's worse news than the Accrington result. Hope it's not the last we see of Dion in a red and white shirt, even if it's 2-3 years time. Hope we can win tonight and secure our play off spot, then we must rest our top players. We don't want any more injuries. Looks likely that McLaughlin will be back in time for the Play Offs, which is a bonus. Flanagan looked ropy the last time he came back from injury, so I wouldn't bank on him playing a part.
A big blow ! a disaster mate at least Mclaughlin should be back for the play offs, can we sign after the season finishes before the p offs? and Willis being out sums it up, i know one thing O Nein cannot play again in defence this season he will never do it, get Bailey in his place or Hume.
to be honest i was expecting this news, he is not our player and after his performances this season, wolves will be glad to have him fully fit for pre-season. cheers Dion lad, would love to have you back at least another season if not permanent.
There is no way Sanderson would have played without Wolves’ ok. (Wolves not Wolfy ) And who else was there? Power, Younger, O’Nien and Fadz as a back 4? Maybe not.
Willis hasn’t been fit all season. Hardly trained. But he played. Very much in a “ledley king” scenario. Johnson asks the medical staff and the players. If they say “yes” they play. No way is it Johnson’s fault. He’s not the medical person
Of all the injuries his has been the hardest hitting I think. For a young lad he was a real leader. Pace and aggression, and decent on the ball. Him and O'Nien had a hell of a partnership and understanding. I hope he is back next year - the sort of character we should want.
