It's like His Dark Materials, but not as good

 

The last season of that went downhill.

 

Started watching The Crossing. on Prime 6 episodes in and decent enough.
Also just started Sons of Anarchy seems ok so far.

 

Anyone watched Mare of Easttown, heard good and bad reviews.

 

Slow start but that seems intentional, small town Fargo feel about it I'll certainly be watching the 2nd one.

 

SOA goes on too long and just isn't good enough. I wouldn't bother.

 

It's only a ' stocking filler' as soon as it gets boring it'll be binned.

 

Not the best film I've ever seen, far from it, but I really enjoyed it. Helped that I took the second born to cinema to watch it though, everything's better at the cinema

 

I tried it last night.

TBH it is authentic to every ****ehole town i've been in in the USA. they are all as depressing. Like being in Mansfield or somewhere I was saying that the missus last night as we were watching and honestly when i started listing them out i've been to far too many.

it was very slow but really was setting up the character i expect, have to reserve judgement though as it could end up as just a big whine fest.

 

Yes it's interesting but will have to get a good story going at some point.

 

Stowaway 6.9/10 slow space drama kinda interesting though.

 

Critics slated it. I need a good new series to get stuck into. Bosch was great.

 

I'm watching The Shield next or maybe Colony.

 

kind of thinking true detective here where some twist comes in and we have a serial killer or something

 

It started really good, the concept was really interesting. But the middle, the explanation part (don't want to give away the plot) and the resolution were pretty average. In fact the resolution was nothing really new.
