Cracking thread again RTB. Haven’t got a scooby on this one. Depends if we can defend I suppose. I can’t believe we are here again but I’m sitting on the fence on this one. Draw
Im feeling positive. 3-0 to SAFC. We will also cement our place in the play offs. The team has ha a few weeks of underperforming. Tomorrow it changes. Haaaawaaaayyyyyyyy
Got a feeling that we will produce a positive result this evening, keeping a much needed clean sheet too. 2-0 to the lads
cheers again RTB... may i just start this post by wholeheartedly and willingly, without recourse and under no threat to my person retract any and all statements i made in the 'negative bassa' thread...any comments made were tongue in cheek and in no way meant to be a serious contribution or a foretelling of future events, i have severely chastised myself with a thorny bush (ooooer matron) and shall refrain from ANY kind of prediction forthwith!! we owe them one, time to get back to a winning formula and get the next 'streak' going in time for the play offs.
If I was the Blackpool manager I'd be telling them to keep it tight until we implode again and hand them a goal or two.
Which is what we did a few weeks ago mate. Hoping history doesn't repeat itself. On the balance of play, we deserved something from that game. We played well enough, but didn't get the breaks and conceded another poor goal. Hope we get the right rub of the green tonight.
They'll expose our hidden weakness - straight ball through the defence Or a corner Or a free kick of any sort
Been banging the wing backs drum for weeks now and that's even louder after conceding 3 at home to Accrington. Its obvious that Wright and Onien can't cope as a pair. I'm hoping he brings Younger in to a 3 with Gooch and Hume wing backs. Another trend repeated itself, Wyke scoring when Obrien is in the team. I'd love to see some stats on that. I'm not a big fan but I thought Scowen had a really good first half on Saturday and he has the energy to operate in a middle 2 and id move Power next to him Johnson has to find a balance of a attack and a defence that isn't going to undo all its good work. ----------------------Burge-------------------------- -------Younger----Wright----O'Nien-------- Gooch-----Scowen--Power--------Hume ---------------------McGeady---------------------- -------------------O'Brien---Wyke-----------------
I totally agree with your 3 at the back mate, but I'd go 5 in the middle for insurance, with the wing backs pushing on. Play McGeady in a roving '10' role, with Wyke up top.
That's what I'd be going with. Wright clearly is nowhere near fit so needs some young legs to do his running. Let him direct from the middle of the 3 and have Gooch and Hume run the wings. Be tempted to replace Scowen with Winchester. Scowen has been poor of late
Great thread as always. I would hate to put my last pound on this. Will it be the first half or second half Sunderland from the weekend. Have blackpool really gone backwards last two games. I am more optimist than pessimist by nature so I hope the players react and give us a 90 minute performance.
Fantastic thread again RTB. I just can't make my mind up as to how this one will go, so forgetting it until ko
Great thread RTB, need a win tonight to get some form for the play offs so Ha'Way ya fookers. 2 nowt to the Lads with big Chas getting at least one of them. Ha'Way The Lads.
Thanks RTB, these threads are Saville Row, real . If only we had a team to suit. Lets see what LJ puts on tonight for our entertainment. we live in hope.
Blackpool are somewhat in form, we're out of form of sorts, it all points to a drab draw or an away win for Blackpool, then again the old cliche of the form book being thrown out of the window and the lads could surprise us with a win (to confirm our play-off place)
