    <whistle> I have only ever done 2 match threads, that being my second and ended on that night.

    I took early retirement. Saints have held on to leads for longer than my success with match threads.

    Might be a strange thing to say, but he was very lucky he signed a lucrative, long-term contract on presumably good money not long before this happened.

    Financially, he should be ok as a result of that ... but emotionally? I couldn't begin to imagine the toll that would take on you. It sounds like the club has been supporting him pretty well (including him in their covid bubble, for example, just to keep him involved)
