Because you think Nige doesn’t rate one or both , or to provide us with cash, or you think one or both will want to go ?

I'm not to worried about our OOC players leaving if they're not prepared to renew or not required by the new regime they can piss off but what about the fat cats that can sit on their existing contracts even if NP wants them out, surely we are stuck with them, if they stick they can become bedblockers and our resources are limited.

Think Bents will be sold as will Kalas to raise funds. not sure who else will command a decent fee.

For me I would keep Bentley-Kalas-Semyo-O'Dowda-Weimann-Martin-Bakinson-Wells if he can get himself more motivated if not go.

If we are serious about wanting to progress we have to stop selling our best players, if PL teams come knocking that’s a different story, but I can’t see either Kakas or Bents attracting those sort of clubs. Times are hard , but they are hard for all, I can’t see either being offered better contracts in these times , so personally I’d be surprised if they leave.

I can think of 2 I would boot out but I'm not daft enough to be shot down, I'll let you know if it happens, do you have any you want to see go?

I think Nige will figure out the ones that he wants to work with , it’s difficult for us really as we don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes , who carrying a Knock etc. Wells has disappointed me tbh I was expecting more. I know he’s played out of position, but some times his attitude stinks and he looks like he couldn’t hit a barn door with a banjo

You may be suprised but Wells I like, I also think his attitude stinks, he is now our leading goal scorer with 11 goals, as you mentioned play him right and he could hit 20.

Have you forgotten Tammy that LJ single handed brought to this club on loan and was a complete success...oh yes and Webster that we sold for a record breaking 22 million....bad memory ??
We will see what he finds appalling......I think most of the players I highlighted over this year will still be with us next season....

What have you heard...you have inside knowledge??
I believe he needs good performances and results next season pretty much from the start on the back of these last few months.....His name and history alone was why he's been given the job..(plus no one else out there better that's available)
I'm sure you're right, there will be a clear out, especially those out of contract......personally, to get rid of key players IMO would be a mistake....but we shall see...
I believe, most of the players I've mentioned to be decent will still be here next season..

I don't care what you believe about inside knowledge or not.

He should be given the same amount of time afforded to most of SL's managers, especially with the mess that he has to clear up with this squad + the rehab nonsense, something that goes deeper than most people realise.

In football these day players in contract have all of the power (only the intervention of covid has slightly altered that dynamic), they can decide whether to stay and take the money or push for a transfer and most clubs can do nothing because of finances, all I will say is it may down to how they might react if certain privileges are taken away from them whilst still under contract that might determine if THEY want to stay, let's put it this way he will not bend over backwards for any of them.

Decent? you mentioned just off of the top of my head Adelakum as being decent, based on what?, you can barely have seen him more than once or twice.

We’re in a mess 1for, comfortable mid table will be success next season for me, he’ll need time to rebuild, if you expect anything more I think you’ll be disappointed

Let me put it this way, I have along with the mates that I sit with have finally renewed our season tickets this morning.

Football is an imprecise science, but at least there would appear to be a different direction to the one that has failed and has been littered with poor decisions and cronyism to the football side of the business, will it succeed? who knows but I suspect it won't be for the lack effort from our players from the start of next season, because one thing is for sure Pearson will not allow it in the same way that the last 2 did.

I take your point, but for my part I still haven’t renewed. I think I will let things play out a bit first for confirmation that what you’ve suggested will happen, does. I may change my mind and renew I’ve got till Tues to decide.

Couple of appearances towards beginning of the season and a few games he played with Hull.. for me looked good.. good touch, lots of skill.. needs first team game time IMO.. must admit not sure why he hasn’t featured more for us.. maybe it needs the eye of a decent coach!!! <cool>

You maybe well have to wait a little longer for any significant changes (if they occur at all).

My decision was based on several things, one of my mates has not been too well and was not going to renew but my other mates and I convinced him that we would look after him during any period where he was regaining his full mobility, him and I have been friends for over 50 years and the others from between 30 and 40 years.

The last time we were all together was the home game against West Brom in February last year and we discussed in the pub after the game about renewing and out of 5 of us, 4 said probably not, unless things changed especially with home form. And my friend who is recovering from illness said "what else are we going to do?, we have known each other for such a long time and apart from our annual Christmas party, it's a chance to all meet up, share a few beers and keep properly in touch" little did we know that the Fulham home game in March would be the last time that we would meet for over a year. IMHO not everybody has friends of that long standing and in the grand scheme of things is far more important than football.

Mmm I don’t see why. No more than when Deano came in. We’ve got worse as the season gone on.. now we have a coach in that is supposed to be a top manager, a few decent signings, sort the medical department out.. Replacing LJ was to progress us, not for mid-table. I’m expecting more..
